But you can mix the three classes and swap from on to another when you want, as long as you have the ability codes you need.

I'll try to get several soldier disciplines, and maybe try to shove in some hacker stuff..

If you don't know what disciplines are:

    Disciplines info:

"Character progression in the Matrix Online is very different than most MMO games. Rather than lock the player into a permanent class or profession, characters in MxO download software called Ability Code directly into their brains.

In this way, players can swap out and trade different Abilities that they want their character to use.

Abilities exist in a dependency tree and are organized into categories called Disciplines. Each Discipline is associated with a Title. So if you load all of the Abilities in the Soldier Discipline, you earn the right to call yourself a Soldier.

Acquiring a Title lets players pursue more advanced Disciplines. For example, mastering all the Soldier Abilities will allow the player to acquire and load Abilities from the Martial Artist or Gunman Disciplines.

Characters can load many different Abilities and may earn the right to multiple Discipline Titles. In this way, players can create and customize their Ability load-out to suit their playing style or the needs of their team."

    More Abilities info:

"All characters start with the “Awakened” Discipline. This is the basic training that all people receive when they realize the truth of what the Matrix is and leave the body pods.

At this point, the Ability tree splits into three major branches. The initial Disciplines within these branches are the Operative, Hacker, and Coder.

Operatives have access to Abilities that focus on physical actions like movement and combat. Further down the tree, Operatives split off into Soldiers (pure combatants) and Spies (stealth and subterfuge experts). At the far end of the Operative branch are Disciplines like Zen Master, Body Guard, Trick Shot and Commando.

Hackers use Abilities to directly change and manipulate the code of the Matrix. They can infect their opponents with Viruses, or aid their allies with Upgrades to boost performance. The Hacker Discipline opens up access to more advanced Disciplines that specialize in increasingly deadly programs that can infect multiple opponents, or paralyze foes. Or they can pursue a more defensive path and gain access to programs that restore an ally’s RSI.

Finally, Coders use Abilities to construct new Code for specific purposes. This can include anything from instantiating a simulacrum to fight for you, or writing Code for a special weapon that does unusually high damage."

I'm going to be a hacker because it'll be image fantastic!

Making my team image and my enemies image. That's my choice!

The three classes are now Operative, Hacker, and Coder.  Im pretty sure the Operative will be Soldier and Spy now, the Hacker stays the same, and from what I have seen I think the Coder might be some sort of Crafting class.

please, dont call them classes. MxO is a class-less game. It allows intense customization using the Disciplines system.

you start with the three main Disciplines (Operative, Hacker, or Coder) and eventually gain access to more advanced Disciplines. but you dont have to commit to one. you can mix abilities from all the different Disciplines, or master in just a few.

but the best part is, you aren't locked into the decision you choose. If you have lots of Operative-type abilities, but you need to craft something, you simply swap out those abilities for some Coder ones and begin crafting. then when you're done, swap them back and start fighting.

but to answer your question, i plan to usually play with Kung-Fu and Spy abilities. i really dont know what all the different Disciplines are though, so it's hard to say.

i plan to start out as an operative and master that tree completely. eventually i will master all of the trees because that just sounds awesome.
