So i was messing around with the screws connecting my fan in my PSU (Don't ask why) and now the fan is spinning slower than usual. I'de say it's the slowest speed the fan goes.
Is this dangerous for my PSU or other hardware or do you think it'll be fine? or will it overheat?
Comments
no clue.
some BIOS' have fan speed control settings in them.

Try putting your computer under load and see if it spins up.
If it still runs very low, you might have a problem.
Just a thought, did you screw it in too tight?
I messed around with the tension of the screws, adjusted it multiple times from loose to very tight.
I have a feeling it may be the fan itself
My build: Sapphire Radeon HD 4850, Asus P5GC-MX/1333 Motherboard, 4gb G.SKILL DDR2 667MHz RAM, Core 2 Duo e7200 CPU, 250gb Western Digital SATA Harddrive, Windows Vista Home Basic 64-bit.
How many fans have you got on your PSU?
I have 3 on a 700W, the rear fan makes a god awful noise, so I jammed abit of plastic it in there to stop it moving. With the rest of my PC pretty cool, I dont get any PSU related problems.

My 550W PSU has only 1 very large fan on the bottom.

Check if its still under warranty, maybe you can get it replaced.
