Looks like that was posted on the 16th. The domain name is still showing as registered to Nevrax, but it's possible they turned over passwords etc. and the change in ownership of domain name is in the works.
But I see no reason to think this notice is anything but genuine.

. I think the gaming community as a whole is in despirate need of a great sandbox MMO. Ryzom was my first experience with this genre. After the servers went down I tried just about any MMO that I could get my hands on. Nothing, I mean nothing, even comes close to the adventure,freedom,lore and most of all the community of Ryzom. Maybe this time the company that owns it will at least try to advertise it. I hope to see all you great and not so great Kara and Kami soon.

Been stalking these forums for many many months now... I admit I played Ryzom for only a few months, but I agree it was the most unique and special game. With more content, it could have been the very best MMORPG ever.
I sincerely hope it's not a hijacked "joke", and it REALLY will be back. I'm definitely back in for a try if it's real!!

I hope this is true. I cant wait to see Trixie and ride Speedy into the depths of Atys, and see good old friends and maybe the chance to continue the Siren comic book. And if for some reason we have to start anew, I dont think I would mind, it would allow for a fresh start though I would hate to lose my Aen armor and other precious relics.
Heck, if it comes back I'm going to finally give it a trial because of what people have shared about the game.

I tried this game out and liked it alot. I was still to busy accomplishing my goals in wow to subscribe,But if it returns I am subscribing to it. Good News .
YES!!!!! Ryzom is coming back. I've been waiting so long for this day. I wonder if Beau Turkey knows about this? Beau if you're reading this bring back the Ryzom Podcast. I'm a huge fan.
Heck, that's 100% the same as my case was. Liked it very much, the game has a terrific, unique atmoshpere, a real SOUL if you like. But I was diverted by WOW at that time too (still subscribed to Ryzom for 3 months).
Too bad that the linked Warcry article know exactly as much as we do: basically nothing. Fingers are crossed all over the world

Please let this not be just another letdown! I will be back playing as soon as Ryzom Resurrects. It was by far one of the better MMO's online for serious, mature players.

Even if they manage to bring Ryzom to life they must make some updates,massive update, to keep the wave with the other mmorpgs; this is my opinion..oh yeah and more advertising.

A thing of beauty.
I was in awe when I first tried this game, the 'feeling' of the game is very unique and has been said before Ryzom has a soul that other games lack.
