After that there's 5 months left in the year. 5 months to setup and run a public Beta , Fix any issues that pop up and prepare for a commercial launch.
Who actually believes this is going to happen? I mean c'mon let's be realistic. It's simply NOT going to happen.
So if it doesn't happen than what exactly was the purpose of Tasos announcing this?
Was it a straight up lie designed to string along people some more?
Was it him actually believing it can and will be done? which would point to complete incompetence.

The forum is dead, no one believe this game will launch anymore. There's maybe 1-2 new posts every week.
I think the Forum might be dead for 2 reasons:
1) They're playing Age of Conan.
2) They've started spending time over on Mortal Online's website.
In either case, it's immaterial. They'll hop on back or leave or whatever...

This is not news to most of us. This particular scenario has played itself out for years now, over and over...repeating the same song and dance it has each and every time. Only the new meat can see it and feel anything, for the rest of us...it is a Corpse Marionette Theatre. The thing may move and shake, but it is dead all the same. Its strings being pulled against its very will (were it to have a will at all), a macabre unlife that it is forced to live at the behest of those who cannot simply bury in the grave to which it belongs.
Well, maybe its not to be released in 2008. Wake up and stop making this kinds of pointless posts. Noone cares what Tasos says in a update. The ame will be ready when its ready.

Enigma, it's no use. We have tried to tell them over and over, but they just don't listen. They believe whatever Tasos puts out of his mouth, even after all of the lies they have been told.
I guess when they want something that bad, they're just too blind to realize common sense.

Yes these forumns are truly dead, but what MMORPG.com does offer is a great home for Haters. People who appearntly don't care but keep coming back.

I'm sorry, looks like you had some trouble with all the quotes there getting in the way. Otherwise, you would clearly see COORS got owned ( along with half the fanbois who hold up Tasos as the next messiah of game development ).
Why does every fanboy in the world construe frustrated posts as being from haters?
Come on, we would all like to see this game get published, BUT I have yet to see Tasos back up any claims he has made. Put a date out, even if it is 2 years from now, at least commit to something.
Scale back on the unnecessary stuff like ships and such, does not have to be in game at the start, CCP started small and now have a wonderful product.
And for heavens sakes put in some pvp constraints, it is a proven fact that ffa-pvp without them is a disaster waiting to happen.
Everything you said is true and accurate. I tend to think 08 is not going to happen or if it is then we are going to be paying for an extended beta.
Vanguard lost 1/2 its real and potential player base when it launched early. I hope DF does not make the same mistake.
People go elsewhere these forums the vast number of haters hold no credibility here and as such the site is near useless. Other than for a laugh at the haters.
