Hey all, Im looking for a good MMO to play.
I've been away from MMO country for about a year now. I've read up on the newest things ( AoC release, WAR pushed back etc. ) but I'm still not fully up-to-date with all the developments over the past year. From what I read it's not that much though :P.
Anyway I'm kind of looking for a new game to play.
My PC is kinda old, I'm replacing it around august, but till then this is what I have:
AMD Sempron, 1666 MHz (10 x 167) 2400+
1024 MB (DDR SDRAM)
NVIDIA GeForce FX 5700LE (128 MB)
Past Games I've played and greatly enjoyed. But got burned out on. Not sure if expension makes them interesting again:
- World of Warcraft
- Guild Wars
- Rubies of Eventide
Past Games I've played and not enjoyed:
- Basically most asian free games.
Things I'm looking for:
- Casual Play, 1 hour on weekdays. around 3 hours on weekend days
- Clean graphics, not sure how to explain this.... Graphics that look right. Super Mario has them, WoW has them, CoD4 has them. Most F2Ps don't....
- No Grind! In a 15 minute play session I want achieve something, not just make some progress.
- Part of the community that's decent. I don't mind most of the players being less than intelligent but as long as there are some friendly and knowledgable players out there I'll be happy. I'll find them.
- Healthy balance between grouping and solo. I want a game where I can just go out on my own if I choose to do so but at the same time get a group for harder things without having to look for half an hour or more.
- Free Trial in case of P2P or B2P, not spending money until I see what the product is like.
We are the bunny.
Resistance is futile.

Rubies of Eventide.. I still have that game installed. It is fun. Glad you had enjoyed it.
My suggestion would be to check out Mythos.
Blessings,
MMO migrant.
Lotro is pretty good, close to Wow but with a different flavor. The community is really good, and it does have a pretty good solo/group balance most of the time. For me, I tend to blow through all of the solo missions first avoiding group missions, then I get in a situation where grouping is practically the only thing available to me. But if you alternate more it's actually really even.
Graphics may be a little taxing on your system, I'm not sure, but they are really good. Give the free trial a try. I am a casual player and have been enjoying it for a few months.
I wouldn't know of much else, it's the only thing I have been playing.
