I'm planning to buy AoC in two weeks when i get paid ..
is it actually worth it buying the game now or should i wait a lot longer for all the bugs to be fixed.
i mean the females being weaker and a lot of classes with next to nothing in survivability unless kiting?
any suggestions my friends would be helpful

I'd recommend waiting if you just have the patience to do it. You already missed the first wave of players and won't have a chance to explore the new servers together with other newbies. And as the game is quite unfisnished and has many things missing, it will improve over time as Funcom updates it.
If you just have the patience, your experience will be much better if you wait for some months before buying. And you may save some money too, as you may be lucky and get a free trial, the game box cheaper, or something like that later on.
Definately wait. This game needs alot of work for it to last more than a few weeks even for casual players. There just isnt enough to do and alot is not working as it should either. The heavy instancing also makes it more like an online RPG than an MMO. But thats not necessarily a bad thing since it might appeal to more people.
But playing now is in my honest opinion like playing a beta and also paying for it. Some dont mind since they can have fun anyway while many are pissed cause of that. I stopped playing after three weeks and I cant say I have any plans of returning. Not so much that the game cant be fixed, but that Funcom seems to be such a crappy company that I absolutely dont want to give em my money, at least not for what can only be described as an early beta release. What Funcom seems to be good at is lying about content and run the most crappy customer service I've seen.
For your sake, wait awhile.. No matter what I say you are going to do what you want to do so I'm not going to pry and really drag you into not playing.
All I can say is the game is VERY unpolished and patience is necessary when you're wanting to play.
It's not that females are weaker (I capped a female avatar) but it has to do with the combo execution that Funcom implemented with their game.
Throwing your money in the fire, you'll get a better investement. Absulutly NOT recommended in the current state.

I would say read a couple of reviews and then decide, here's a link to about the best review there is ..

I absolutely love this game, its just fresh and fun and brutal. Now, that said, I was planning on paying for the first month now that free days are running out, however, that was until I found out about Everquest 1 and 2's Living Legacy Celebration.
You can play Everquest 1 and 2 for free till end of July and get a ton of stuff if you use your old account instead of a new trial one. Well worth checking out.

(gives Rise of Kunark all expansions and add ons in one for free if you setup one month of payment near the end of this, in july )
As for Conan, I'm now going to put it aside for three months so they can put some really great features in that they are planning. When that happens this game will be great indeed.
Read reviews and make your own judgements...
You won't find too much truth on these boards... There are lies in this thread already. *shrugs*
Happy players play the game... Unhappy ones prefer to play the forum. That is probably one reason these boards are so negative.
One thing is for sure, there ain't no lack of people IN the game!
I don't have time to debunk the crap spewed out around here either, so I can only wish you:
Good luck!
I'd wait for about a month from now... that is my plan. If they keep updating and fixing issues as quickly as they can as they are now, a lot of the concerns I'm having right now should be out of the question.
If only SW:TOR could be this epic...
I"m about to hit 80 this week, I've played from the weekend of release.
The bugs are common but do not make the game unplayable. The main problems with the game come from the endgame content (crafting, guild cities, guild pvp etc) GM's respond very fast to guild issues in my experience.
Most of the big issues have been solved for me as they popped up, buff icons not working was fixed within the same week. Memory leak/ctd issues were resolved. Lag issues have cleared up.
Alot of people on this forum have an axe to grind. Check every release and you have 99% negative feedback saying the game won't last a month and how much it sucks. If you want open pvp, a more skill based combat system (10x as many buttons pressed in a fight, active blocking) a graphic intensive game with an adult theme.
From reading these boards, the random visitor could easily be led to believe that the game is almost unplayable.
A lot of people are having their fun playing right now, it is no worse than any other MMO launch I've been through, and things are looking promising.
I play with a female Ranger friend almost every night, Is it really true they do less damage? lol i havent noticed that and neither has she. Is it true or just another of the long list of attemopts to scare players away?.
My advice friend is it all depands on how you play the game. If your planning to race ahead to max level and PvP then i would suggest wait untill the new system is in. PvP is a kids game at the minute and read the threads on this site and you will probably notice that trend extends to the forums. But if your gonna be playing the game at a nice medium place then whether you start now or in 2 months is not gonna make much difference at all. theres plenty to do at medium pace, just not much to do at the end game .
I'd highly suggest you avoid this game like the plague it is.
As much as i enjoy the game i would say wait a few more months. There are still a few bugs that need to be worked out like the economy system for one thing. And as you can see by these boards alot of people have no tolerence or patience for a game that has been out only for a few months. However if you feel your character traits are stronger then theirs then by all means give it a go.
