they are promising ALOT- if they deliver all this, AoC will beat out WAR
if they dont deliver well i think we all know who will habve more subs by the end of the year....

P.S.S. AoC has one major advantage over war, its releasing for the xbox360 too about the same time WAR is releasing (i think it might have been january 2009 either that or september 2008)

AoC needs to deliver ASAP though, there are alot of hungry people out there itching for a excellent mmorpg. I have no doubt that AoC will be with us for a long time and there is more and enough room for several more mmo's that we all can sink our teeth into.
But its all about which mmo will give you that addiction you crave for a long time to keep resubbing.
They fail to deliver basic stuff that they promised long time ago..and now they are promissing even more already?
I just lol at funcom, aoc and all the fanbois that still defend them..aoc=fail..lets move on to the next mmo...
I also was a fanboi before i bought the pre beta aoc..that is 50% incomplete, full instanced game with one of the smallest worls in mmo history...
We are in 2008 mmos should release 95% complete with all features included ..the gameworld should be gigantic and finished without the huge amount of instancing and loading aoc has...
only 400.000 people play it...not everyones taste in games is good right? some people just love to pay to play beta games with no contend...
I say quit it..just be proud of yourselfes ..dont settle with an unfinished low quality mmo..make other developers know that we want a real mmo..finished contend and all features included..
Just look at the friking game...its only graphics nothing else...we are in 2008 ffs..aoc is 5 steps back in the mmo industry..graphics anyone can do..contend and gameplay in a huge world without loadings every second and instancing everywere..now that would be an mmo ...

That stuff should havebeen in at launch. Most people have already cancelled and will be waiting for WAR
The key to your post is that they are "promising" a lot. just like they promised a lot before the game released. a company that launched with an entire GENDER broken is promising something, that isn't grounds for cheering.
that and most people think the XBOX360 thing is bad, because the entire game was designed around it, which is a limiting factor.
If they DO fix everything, hell AoC will be a great game. But MMO companies promise things all the time and not much ever gets done, just look at Darkfall.
Everything creates huge amounts of negativity on the internet, that's what the internet is for: Negativity, porn and lolcats.
What about all the people that in an absolute state of disgust because of the things that were already promised? Perhaps some of those people wouldn't spit on a Funcom product much less purchase another or give released one a second chance.

P.S. At this point WAR isn't AoC's major competition. That would be any MMO released within the last 10 years that has something resembling depth to it. That and the MMOs that people are going "Back" to after purchasing AoC.
P.P.S Time will tell with WAR ...... at this point it's just another MMO full of promises. We can just hope it's not one that will put another dent in the genera.
P.P.P.S. AoC does have really decent art style to it. Saw a video of WAR recently and all I can say is ..... WoW ..... no really ....... WoW!

im not a fanboy to AoC because i will go to WAR when it releases if it is better than AoC if its not im not going to it just because its there like most of you.
The thing is that some of us have been driven away by incomplete and faulty product already, and no amount of promises (even if they do deliver 100% this time) will change the fact that some of us do feel burned by Funcom and their propaganda machine. I am not saying that WAR or TCOS or AION will be better at launch - only time will tell, but I can tell you that Funcom will have to work darn hard to see any of my money ever again.
How about they actually start to deliver?
I don't know tho, but they have major issues with the Game Engine itself!
The whole coregame is horribly broken. Attributes, skills, feats, major class imbalances.
Crafting is horribly broken. Guild Cities have only cosmetic value (no city function is implemented yet, exept Trader NPC being quick-patched during last patch).
Major gaps in content from end level40's and upward.

If you follow the Game Director's Statements lately? All his statements since release contain the word "SOON".
And you know what. I have become absolutely tired with that guy and the word "SOON"! So tired even that I just canceled my 2 accounts (my gf and mine).
I am a huge Conan fan, but as of today I am sertainly not a Funcom fan anymore!
This whole game has Epic Fail writen all over it and it will take them at least a year to fix the Core Game itself, yet alone that they can start thinking about even more features!

and AoC isnt crap it has major flaws that have already been stated (which they are fixing before implementing this stuff) and if they add this like a major siege battle (if you actually read it, it says they will have other ways of sieging that will be even bigger) they will see even more people the only thing i see in WAR that will really atract more people is instant gratification because you are doing pvp getting good gear from lvl 1 while age of conan is more story based which pc gamer for some reason dont really like.
You lost all credibility with that first sentence. At least do proper research before saying something. Also, please define your version of "crap" for me then.
Quiet franckly who's gonna care when in 6 months, 9 months, a year everything will be fixed and all the promises fulfilled, everyone will be long gone by now. Yet AOC will become another Vanguard or Dark and Light.
If they can just get the loot tables fixed and mid to upper level content going I would reconsider. Of course they should have done that before they released. Oh and maybe they an look up the term customer service in a dictionary, some of that would be a bonus.
I miss DAoC
When a company starts to delete any vent or negative post in general chat on their forums, is when I start thinking they have something to hide and only want money. So what happens I hit the cancel key.
And no Fanboi's don't tell me they are not, because I have wrote around 7 very good posts, and Famine and Crew has deleted everyone of them. Screw this game biggest piece of shit I have had the chance to buy. Anyone else reading this don't waste your $50 its not worth it you will be bored by lvl 30.

Bigger than the 20 mans on screen 5 FPS? lol worst thing about it is that its instanced so it should cause even less lag, hell i goe better fps when a 40 man horde raid attack IF, with about 200 people on screen in IF. Game design is pure console game. Aoc is a story based game like all games you mean? Hell what is the story in aoc, i dotn even know. Because playing upto lvl 55 i didnt even know what the story was ingame, are we meant to kill conan or something? War already has more people in in open world RVR zone than aoc has in an instanced so called next gen pvp siege with 20 people at 5 fps. hell even AV in wow has more people in a zone doing pvp, hell even going down more AB has more people on screen with 100x better fps. Aoc is a failure in game design and pvp, what i did like about it for 2 years was the hype and the spin though, but then release came and shit really hit the fan.
You lost all credential after you stated one simple fact: you only played to lvl 55. You know nothing about 20 man raids and what kind of FPS people have. I do not have a tippy-top of the line comp and I play AOC on High settings perfectly during raids. So quit talking out your ass about something you know nothing about.
I am currently in a top raiding guild in Conan and from my experience (and the general experience of everyone in the guild) is that Conan, as a game, is great. Why you might ask? The reason is simple; IT IS FUN. Funcom has done something other mmorpg's have forgotten, and that is to make the game fun. PVE raids are really a blast and soon the pvp sieges will also be a load of FUN as well.
The reality is all the "naysayers" are always finding ways to trash this game. First they said AOC's launch will be comparable to that of Vanguard. And what happened? AOC had one of the smoothest launches in mmorpg history(even better than that of WoW: wowriot.gameriot.com/blogs/Epidemic-Obesity/Age-of-Conan-Poised-to-Dominate-WoW/). FUNcom delivers.
GET OVER IT. AOC is a good fun game. Funcom has delivered so far as I am concerned, and AOC will only get better with time. Don't like it? Good, go back to WoW or spend your money on WoW recreated under the name of "WarHammer". Either way you not playing = less drama and more bandwith for the rest of us (Win- Win situation).

What 20 man raids? I never said i knew about aoc siege, ive seen videos enough of the siege where even the peopel saying it with 20-30 people on screen caused etween 2-5 fps.
