This is what we are up against, FC.
After this day what i can tell is a joke in my 45 years life. FC have did everything in their power to ruin then game so much that both EU forum and US forum of AoC is full of "cancel my acc today.
4 weeks and a brand new game on market is not the easy thing to handle, but FC DON'T listen/read any posts imo. My proof for that is todays patch.
Strategic change a already non playable class, necromancer to a now today as we speak, a complete destroyed class.
I'm aware that they trying to balance the game but this is a joke, you DON'T take the weakest class and make it more weak.
FC is NOT one comany that has overwhelm us with information in any areas, they are exact the same as they are in anarchy online forum. Just silence from them.
I think after today this game takes the same way that both FoM, Vanguard and Dark n Light took.
And a thought, what about all those aromors they promised us,
Really cool looking armors, take a look at the link and you mabe understand what we are up against.
I'm a quitter, soon the flamers must flame them self, it's a dead game in 5 month.

About the armor, I belive that's the same armor but at different levels ...
There are more for ranger no?
Personally I don't like the flashing armor we can see in other games, it would not look well in the "AoC" theme anyway.

This is how the most common medium armor set looks, there are a lot of different medium armors in dungeons, players just need to look for it, a common set of armor should look common... remember it is a low fantasy universe and the only low fantasy game.
You can see combat in AoC, DDO, Guild Wars, Vanguard and EQ2 as just button mashing or you can play in a strategic way, I dont know if you noticed, but every time someone try to let a game down here this person say X game has a button mashing combat... anyway, I think you got the point.
Try to duo or trio Oasis of Zaara in AoC using your button mashing theory and tell me what happens... same with MMCastle in Everquest2 ( another game some people say it is button mashing ).
About the OP, well, every MMO I played had balance changes sometimes it pleased people, sometimes not, but to realize if it is good or not, everyone need to experience the changes and give a feedback, desperation is not productive.

NO thats one of my big bitches. That is what the itemization is like. I mean you might occassionally find a different item but generally that's it. It is even worse for my assassin he has basically two armor models that he has been wearing up through lvl 57. There was way more variety in lvl 1-20 then all the rest of the game.
That said there are apparently is apparently some raid armor that looks cool. I have from time ti time found a unique item but most stuff is just the same old model with diff colors. The ranger is actually better then my assassin's choices.

Couldn't give too much of a toss about the look of armour, in fact thats a plus for me (I know its all opinion and personal taste). BUT what they have (hopefully) inadvertantly done to my necro LMFAO!!!

LOL, have you ever been in that game and played necro at lvl 80. lol no way u did.
LMAO take a look at lonewolfs videos, take a look arooud the AoC forum and tell me when we are shine. In Pve they did, with lots of dmg for unholy aoe spells, but that got nerfed today and you can't even kill anything with Aoe spell anymore at same lvl. but in PvP is a big diffrence, you can only kill your self after todays patch!
Aoe is Fun but maybe they prevent grinding of gold this way, but lol i'm gome Forever from Aoc.
You can't AoE now because it got nerfer 30/40%
and you pets just hits one target at same time until death, then they change target.
So have you played the game as a necro at lvl 80 ?
Necro vs any other class = death without any doubt.
PoM kills us in 3 cast at lvl 80 3x3= 9 sec
out pets + your own casttime don't even scratch them in 9 sec.
ToS kills us in 3 hits and the rest you see above.!!

Ok I have to stand up for FC on this one as the story is very lobsided. I to would like more armour options but there are enough items for the launch of any MMO. About 2 weeks ago I read that FC are aware that they eed to bring in more items, they said its one of the most requested feature and straight away they came out and said that they will be bringing in 12 new armour sets for each class totaling 60. This is only the start so let the damn company have a few months at least to bring in new items, content and fixes.
I have played a lot of games at launch and I have never seen 2 patches a week and the game on my rig has been stable enough and plays better than Vanguard did at 6 months. Even in a 3-5 hour session its rare for me to come across a game killing bug. Right now I am struggling to think of one.
I am enjoying the game, the 80 or so guild members are enjoying the game and the hundreds of players I see running around me are probably enjoying the game. Face reality, its one of the biggest selling games of all time and thousands of people really enjoy it.
Not everyone is lvl 80, balancing a class around end game level and potential exploits? When does that get smart?

Point #1 - Most Games don't need 2 patches a week on release. MOST games aren't that messed up. A few were that messed up, but not many. Most "Good" games patch once a week on a schedule. Reason for this is they pretty much had the game release ready when it was put on a shelf. They didn't stick it on the shelves 6 months early and patch like the mad scientist in hopes of retaining subs.
Point #2 - Quit trying to cover for FC on itemization, it makes you not look so smart. The game has shit armor sets. Honestly adding armor to the game should be the last thing on FC's mind right now, it should be fixing the damn thing out of beta first. Who gives 2 shits about 12 new armor sets. They will look the same just be a diff variation of orange, green or red or some shit. Same model I would assume.
Point #3 - Don't compare AoC to Vanguard. Its like comparing a stinky turd to a horrible stinky turd. If your comparing a game down to vanguards release, then it really is shitty. I always find it funny when people say "Oh yeah but it's better than Vanguard at release!"... SWEET! you just compared it to the worst MMO Launch in history. GRATZ! I am happy it is better than that!
Point #4 - I am super happy you enjoy AoC. and all these other thousands that are enjoying. It just keeps you out of the good games the rest of us are playing. Most people have better things to do with their time and money than give it to a company to play an open beta, in the same drab ass brown suit of armor.
I wont go on anymore, I am so tired of talking about this game I could vomit.
In my opinion, there were not nearly enough items and armor sets. Not even close. 12 new armor sets for each class eventually? I don't think that is anything to brag about at all. As far as giving them a few more months, I laugh at that proposition. No, a few more months of aforementioned link is not going to cut it whether you are a player or a designer. Who wants to play another 6 months of that, and why? After 5 years of development time, will another 10 months be enough time for them? What makes you think so?

Wow, this game has gotten some serious hating coming down from the sky. I haven't played it yet and frankly it's seeming like a better and better idea with all the constant posting i hear.
I waited to play this thing and anticipated like mad as everyone else did but you know it's sounding more to me like it really is still in developement.
I'm getting the impression also that the people that are defending this game so much are maybe hoping it was better than it actually is and since there aren't any other games out right now you haven't much else to turn to.
I feel sorry for some people truly cause i know how it is to wish something were what you'd expected.
Personally i'm not playing any mmorpg right now, but am doing closed warhammer beta, i just can't see any games on the menu that are getting my attention to play.
I wish otherwise but it's sort of sad.
Ohh i forgot, FC has deleted LOTS of threads today if they contain words like cancel etc.
Is this how their way of taking care of customers, i bet that this game dies before 5 month.

I just booted up AoC and let it patch. Decided since i saw this forum I would go read what they did to the necro. Well it seems to be that it is the class with the most changes. It also seems it got alot of "increases" to damage, and extra damage perks for using certain talents.
So how in the hell did they kill it?
Also, increases to pets damage and mana and healing abilities and reduced times for things that should be reduced, and increase for things that should.
I guess I must be missing it so if you could be so kind as to point out where they made this class worse, by all means.
Also, as everyone keeps saying, it is still beta, so changes to balance things would seem normal for a beta game, wouldn't it?
I plan on checking it out again in six months, in hopes they fix some of the bugs that hinder my playing and add enough content that it doesn't feel so empty and lost at the higher levels. Grinding is one thing, but grinding to go no where is pointless.
im lvl 80, and stopped. becouse there are around 6 different weapons that u cant buy at vendor... and 1 amor each 10 levels. so stop flame that's a good game? it's the terrible's game ever. i'm gonna go play Aion for now. Much better.
Hey its not me rolling the stats out. Its official and a reality. People go on about how bad AoC is and how there are so many MMO's out there better than it. I would like to see a few names listed here rather than hide behind the game your playing.
For the record I have been playing:
EVE for 4 years now
Tabula Rasa - nice for a change but slightly bored now - 5 months
PotBS - lasted 1 month and dropped it
Vanguard - Well say no more - 6 months because I wanted it to work so badly.
Neocron - had its moments but just not cutting edge enough - 3 months
Earth & Beyond - great but lack of PvP killed it for me. Still maxed it though - 4 months
Jumpgate - One of my favourite but I moved over to EVE - 5 months
AoC - stil playing along with EVE - since launch
WoW - bought and I lasted 1 week before binning.
Played trials of LotR and many more.
Out of all of the above EVE Online and AoC are my favourite 2 so far. I may get bored with AoC in a few months, maybe not but I still want to see these amazing MMO's everyone is supposedly playing because I would iove to try one! Another thing...I need something that can really utilise a gamers rig...so none of this WoW crapped out graghics which can be played on a 486 50Mhz.
Eh....looking different is over rated. In a perfect world we would all be clones and there would only be one gender, that way we could abolish sexism and racism in one fell swoop.
And besides that, why are you gonna put clothes on your female avatar anyway. She looks ten times better nekid, and you have 360 different viewing angles to admire her, much better than the 2d pics you linked.
Seeing the lack of variety in armor actually makes me want to resubscribe. Most other mmo's do the same thing over and over. AOC tries something different and all people do is bitch and complain. Honestly, people need to make up their minds. AOC is trying to be different by trying to be the same. It's brilliant really!!! From a certain point of view...
