EVE Online: Our 14 Day Trial Offer Extended!

AdminAdmin Administrator RarePosts: 5,623

As many of you know - we issued the last of our exclusive 10,000 Eve Online 14 day trial keys yesterday.  What was thought to be more than enough keys to last the entire month of July barely made it half way there!  We are pleased to announce that we have a new, large batch of keys installed and are ready to start issuing them again!

In addition, due to the enormous success of the offer - CCP and MMORPG.com have agreed to extend this program through the month of August!  If you have not given this great sci-fi MMORPG a try, you can do so at this link.

    Hello,

Does the key go back into the pool if you do not use the key within a certain ammount of time?

I was expecting an FAQ or something similar to be presented when I pressed the button which generates it. Knowing my luck I simply didn't notice a message saying that it would go straight to giving me the key when I hit the button.

I own the box (some where.. *looks around* :p) and don't actually need the trial, I just tend to be too darn curious for my own good.

No but I imagine that they will eventually reset/void the keys that were not used after 2 months or so.  Not to worry too much - they are just numbers and letters - no real value image

That's good, thank you. :) I don't want to hold back someone who would otherwise find use for it.

imageThis game has given my guild a newfound home, and thanks to the 14-day trial, we've been able to convince others to at least give it a try.    I could see this game not being to everyone's liking, it takes some time to adjust to, but as far as a game that the entire guild, or in the case of EVE, "corporation" can enjoy, this has been a nice change of pace.  As we spend time waiting for our skills to gain in levels, we've been going on group mining expeditions.  I've already encountered people in-game that have offered me a spot in their corporations over and over again.  The community is definitely there, and the game is amazing to look at.  I encourage anyone with a good group of friends they like to play with to tell them about the free trial, it's been a selling point for many of our long-lost guild bretheren, and once they join, they're hooked.  I hope the makers of EVE consider keeping the free trial around as an enticement for a little while longer.  I normally stick with the fantasy genre, but when one of my ex-guildmates recommended I come try EVE for the trial, I got sucked in. I just recently signed up as a monthly member because of it.image

I've had the same experience Bart. It's only my 4th day of playing but.. it's all I've been playing. There's so much satisfaction is getting a new ship, and adding new parts to it. And the community is great, I can always find people to help me with a kill mission I'm not sure I can complete myself. The skill system is great, its has a better interface than my desktop, it's a great way to show off your rig, the combat is fun, even trade and courier missions are fun. And thank god for autopilot, gotta love a game you can go take a shower and come back and be half done with a mission :P.

The monthly fee is kind of steap at 15 per month, but I don't have a choice. It's just too good to miss! I haven't played a good MMO in so long, hallelujah I'm home!!!

I also didnt' realize I'd be issued a key right away (and not be able to get another)
I just started the 2 week trial of asheron's call 2 yesterday..and I'd rather not have 2 active at the same time..
anyway I can change that or am I toast now?

Don't worry - the trial will not start until you activate the key image

EVE has just broken the new simultaneous player record for 2004 with 10.744 logged on at one time, without any sharding ::::04::

(I had thought we wouldnt see 11k until the new upgrade Shiva, but if it keeps going like this who knows how many...)

Hi, I'm new to the MMORPG site, and I've recently asked the EVE staff for a trial key. Do I understand correctly thet I could've asked a trial key to the MMORPG staff instead? And if yes, how?

I've not seen any link that resembles a trial key for EVE and I'd love to have one!

    Love,
