A side from the FAQ's, mass videos of game play and interviews, what ELSE would you like to see at launch.
Besides a smooth launch. hehe
For me would be cool to see weather effects, like a heavy rain/snow storm that would cut you distance viewing in 1/2 or more.
Would be cool to be in RVR in a heavy snow storm, its so bad you have to be pretty close to see anyone not to mention the enemy. LOL....

think you meant "expectations" not "expiations" in title
Working and posting threads not a good idea at times. hehe
thats a good question. but what i expect and what i'd like in launch are 2 very different things. I'd love to see orc growth/dwarf beard growth at launch, but they said it won't make it in, at least not till later on. (how would empire/elves change anyway? not very fair to leave those races out)
Everything creates huge amounts of negativity on the internet, that's what the internet is for: Negativity, porn and lolcats.
Weather and true night/day effects like the old DAOC had would be great. (use to really matter if you lit your torch to see or wore black)
But really, I just want to see a game launched with most of its promised features that doesn't leave me wishing they'd waited 6 more months before releasing it. Seems to be hard to come by these days.

Yes I saw a vid with a heavy snowstorm, was pretty cool. I just want them to have all promised content basically, and I want them to smooth out the animations a bit (which I'm sure they'll do during beta so I'm not too worried).
Hopefully going to be great!!

A human and an Elf get captured by Skaven. The rat-men are getting ready to shoot the first hostage with Dwarf-made guns when he yells, "Earthquake!" The naturally nervous Skaven run and hide from the imaginary threat. He escapes. The Skaven regroup and bring out the Elf. Being very smart, the Elf has figured out what to do. When the Skaven get ready to shoot, the Elf, in order to scare them, yells, "Fire!"

I would like to see some personalized interaction from GMs and AGMs in the form of on-the-fly world questing. Most MMOGs don't have this (usually it was only the MUDs that did).
The GMs/AGMs could spawn mobs, play the part of NPCs giving out tips or clues, they could even play the mobs themselves for some more challenge and entertainment.
I think most MMOGs have lost the personal touch that MUDs used to have (and still do), and getting part of that back would go a long way to diversifying the game from all the others out there saturating the market.
they do have weather in the game. not sure on night/day don't think anyone has asked em.
about the only thing i think that might not make it is the character "growth" feature. where orcs get bigger, dwarfs beards can grow longer etc. that i heard they are only had a 25% of making it at launch.
I expect the game to be fun and I expect it not to require 10+ hours per day to be competitive (ie. in order to not get 1 or 2 shotted in RvR). If both of those expectations are met, I'll be a happy WAR player.
I have no expectations since every time I had them they were not met. I'll just wait till it drops then make the call.
What I'd personally like to see is that they get rid of the names above enemy heads so that I can in fact stand behind a tree or crouch behind some bushes and not have my name be like gigantic arrow saying "I'M OVER HERE!!!!!". You can keep the names above friendly people but the enemy thing is a bit annoying. Other then that, whatever they manage to put in to the launch will more then likely run well.
No required quests! And if I decide I want to be an assassin-cartographer-dancer-pastry chef who lives only to stalk and kill interior decorators, then that's who I want to be, even if it takes me four years to max all the skills and everyone else thinks I'm freaking nuts. -Madimorga-
YES! This is a great idea because why put in some stupid stealth mechanic when you just make it so hiding behind a tree works? With visible names it's very hard to do so because you can just see their name. It adds a very real element of surprise to combat which is always fun (frustrating at times but fun when you're the one doing the surprising).
I don't know if WAR will do it but I really hope some MMO thinks of it.

You and me both. It seems so simple an expectation to have, yet so very hard one to fulfill.
I'll take that. Anything is better then the current situation. Especially since they will not have stealth classes I'd like to use other means of making a surprise attack. Thing is, even when you can tab target I hope they keep the auto face command out so that you still have to go and look for them.
In DAoC I used to dye my armor dark forest green just so that I can creep around at night and in the woods with less chance to be noticed.

I just want everything, or at least mostly everything to be in some working order. Most importantly I want to see people play the game and get to cap level within a decent amount of time, in other words not be maxed out after 2 days. Also it wouldnt hurt to have enough content/rewards in the game to prevent from mindless grinding.
My expectation is just to have a freakin blast!!
Out of every 100 men, 10 should not be there,
80 are nothing but targets, 9 are the real fighters.
Ah, but one, ONE of them is a warrior,
and he will bring the others home.

There *are* classes with a limited stealth in game. Not long, I believe something under aminute or so. It's more for closing distance apparently but in that sense there's still plenty of opportunity to pull off surprise attacks.
Its all about the WAR! I'll see ya on the battlefield!
These are a few ways growth could work for the others. Just my ideas though, nothing announced.
Greenskins - Larger
Chaos - Larger
Dark Elves - Longer Hair
High Elves - Longer Hair (Blonder too)
Dwarves - Longer Beards
Empire - Larger (or just taller)
STOP WHINING!
Or just have them make the RVR field barren like the dessert so having a name tag will not matter.
Cool looking mount's, I remember seeing screenies of the fel/dreadsteeds in wow and the saber's/raptors/undead mounts and thinking this feature is gonna hook me.
I have only seen a few concept art pics from WAR so far, cant wait to see the full selection.

Gods honest truth? The only things I really even care about seeing are two things they have already said are going in. XP from killing players and the ability to loot them like a mob.
That said, I do really hope they flesh out the Engineer class to be the thing I am dreaming of. I really liked the ideal of a class which sets all of its function inside pre-planning and setting up traps and turrets. Matter of fact, in CoV thats almost exactly what I play anyway. Thugs/Traps MM. In that game I basically plat a class setup that turns the MMO into an RTS. I take time to consider my battlefield, position my men, arrange my array of traps for maximum effect and ensure that my team is standing inside the healing beacon. I'll use caltrops to force larger groups to move away from our area and keep myself (and thus, my force field generator) nearby to allow for quick spot heals and spot CC from my knockdowns.
From everything said about the Dwarf Engineer class...it sounds like it plays similar to that (sans the pets...but we can't have EVERYTHING all the time, I guess). Turrets, fencing, booby traps, grenades, and gun attacks.....*sigh*....
I hope it becomes what it is I think of it as. I wish someone from beta could tell me...damnable NDA's.
Pretty much what a previous poster.
But another imporant aspect is a polished and functional UI, there is nothing more alienating than a crappy UI that looks like it was thrown together in the last minute (AoC).
