This is the worst game I have ever played. I feel that I should apologize to my hard drive for the mistake I made installing the the game.. GEEEZZ! What a waste of time!

You know a reason why people shouldn't give others advise... personally I don't think people should play Eve, I played for 14 months and came to the conclusion that
a) CCP Suck - Worst player support this side of EQ
b) The game looks pretty but basically SUCKS
c) Only thing worth doing was PvP but due to the ridiculous lag fest that ensued any time you got a decent sized fleet battle going wasnt worth the effort.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and fan boys like you touting garbage should shut up as well.
No reasons need to be given. This game is simply garbage.

Exactly what level of intellect does EVE require?
And how does someone of such high intellect, such as yourself, arrive at the absurd conclusion of : If one finds EVE boring and/or unenjoyable, it's because they simply lack the required high level of intellect to both understand & enjoy EVE.
Has it ever struck you that perhaps others find it boring because they find EVE too simple? Do I really need to spell out where that would leave you in comparison to them?
Perhaps my irony was too well disguised, but if you actually read through the thread again, this time with an open mind... there is, perhaps, a slight chance it will cross your mind that my initial reply coooould be a sarcastic one to a thread already filled with stupid replies?
Naturally, one indirectly claiming such a brilliant intellect as your self, dismissing EVE as "too easy" in a mmorpg context (yup, I know: both AC, EQ, CoH etc favours, on a whole other level, the creative and innovative), could of course claim the same to your own... that your reply was as ironicly ment as mine

Well, on a more serious note: EVE doesnt require much more intellect than that of your (human) opponent... in contrast to a PvE-based game.

Yes, I know, there are even some, which in similar manners, repudiates chess and behold: real life as too simple. Where does that leave them? Not too seldom on a clinic.
If any of the above contains traces of sarcasm, irony and, perhaps, a slight tough of cynicism, Im sure theres a local authority that deal with such matters.

So you find youself devastated by others opinions on EVE that aren't favorably consistent with your own, so in return you lash out with well-disguised sarcasm to fullfill some depraved adolescent behaviors you struggle with on a daily basis?

I was merely attempting to open up your narrowmindedness to the fact that others who don't share the same sentiments with you on EVE, but instead find it quiet the opposite, ie boring, has zero bearing on their level of intellect.

The above is mostly accurate with any mmorpg, again however, players that have either equal or higher intellect than yourself can still find this game both very simple & enjoyable at the same time while other players with similar levels of intelligence will also find it very simple, but boring.
Point being, insulting players level of intellect based on their opinion of the game is extremely ignorant & flaunting ignorance is not a display of superior intellect.
after having played games for the better part of 22 years - i can safely say that eve is one of the most intelectualy challenging games going. Although being an open ended mmo it does not require one to be intelectual, just that if you want to you can indeed use alot of intelect. The majority of people that dislike eve do not post about how it was intelectualy lacking, but rather how it was too boring. Being bored is a personal thing, and not the result of this game imho. The game may indeed be boring to a player, but that is the players interpretation.
Posting "this game sucks". . .with no elaberation.. does a diservice to those that you would want to convince that it sucks, you need to convince them with points, so unfortunately your post fails in doing anything other than allowing us to argue with each other

Can you provide links to reviews capturing the different aspects of EVE redeeming it as an intellectually stimulating mmorpg?
Being bored is a personal thing, and not the result of this game imho.
There are also players that don't find EVE stimulating at all, resulting in their bordom, albiet a personal issue or not of EVE being boring, it's still an opinion. Just as the following is :

links to reviews that say its intelectualy stimulating? no.. sorry dont have any. just an opinion that i consider educated. so without proper documentation it is just my opinion. i will write a long peice about why its intelectualy stimulating, and moreso than most, if you wish.

The game has the strongest economy ever. It is really powerful. If you feel like trading this is your game. The depth and diversity of the combat system is strong. I have few remarks about the fighting interface but I think that it is not making the gameplay worse. The Community is also very strong. I was in Corp.(clan) in about 4-5 hours after I started. I was guided and now after a week I am very into the game. Of course people would think the game is boring becasue you need at least 2-3 days to experience it. The learning curve is high and you are overhelmed by informations,windows, attributes of ships. I cannot say much about the game support but I have not heard bad things. Pretty d*mn long post. I ended here. I think that ill play this game at least for other 2-3months.
I forgot about the Alliances but if you want to find out just try the game.

As far as I can see Eve is more like real life than any other mmog
If you choose to play it safe you can spend your time in solitary mining, or as a slave for a large corporation.
But thats really no different to what I do 37 hours a week, sure its a means to an end but if you dont take a few risks you wont get anything out of it.
You do take risks IRL dont you?

I have been playing since beta 4 so I should at least know you or i should have read one post from you on the forums by now
I don't have anywhere as much experience as you claim to have with this game as i have only played for 5 months so far and i am not sure when you played the game as you don't say (original beta perhaps?), but i have to take task with everything you have said here.
a & d) In the two occasions that i have had to contact CCP with a problem (two only in 5 months) they have replied or resolved within 60 minutes. They keep players well up to date with any issues in the developers blogs, as well as taking any suggestions on advisement from players.
b) The game does look very pretty, but on top of that every graphic and animation is functional as well. Again, you do not say why you found the game boring but i have found it everything but since i have played, but i also have a very active corporation which helps. Mining can be boring, but if so just go buy your ores from someone who likes to mine. Dynamic market, build you own ships and devices, PvP, real time training (no powerlevellers in it to sell accounts), player owned structures coming soon, corp and alliance systems and tons more to do.
c)Lag is almost a thing of the past, CCP had major issues with it in the past but a major hardware overhaul and some nifty patches have seen all but the most unavoidable lag dead and buried.
Overall i am a big fan of EvE and have just opened my second account (thx to a 6 months for the price of 3 offer to existing players only). I have found that a lot of people played this game in Beta and have not revisited it since and if they did they would not recognise it from what i understand from long term players. Also with the advent of the 'Shiva' expansion (a free expansion BTW) the game will open up many more avenues for players to explore.
