Population Now-Adays...?

godmathiasgodmathias Member Posts: 12

Hey guys... beeen gone for a couple months now and am thinking about getting back into the game but i just had a question.. Last time i played was about a month before AoC came out... i only ended up playing about 3 days because the population on Nagafen just seemed to be dwindling pretty bad.  There were only 1 or 2 really active freep guilds and I just found it very hard to find a good group or a good pvp fight.  Is the population better now that people have found out that AoC isn't the savior of MMO's?

to the point: how is the population on the servers these days? (especially Nagafen?)

thx all

I switched from Nagafen to Venekor about half a year ago. But I ended up leaving the game again a few weeks ago, because my guild had completely died out along with almost every region of the game. Some of the 70+ zones have people in them and there are always the AFK'ers in broker areas, but overall... the pvp servers feel pretty deserted.

I just just wish they would balance the pvp system, then maybe players will come back to those servers.

AC (retired); EQ (retired); DAoC (retired); Horizons (retired); EQII (retired); CoH (retired); AC II (tested); Lineage II (beta); Neocron (tested); Saga of Ryzom (beta); SWG (retired)...

yah you know what. I just reactivated and was playin my 60 for about 3 hours yesterday.  Didnt see one person in any zone i went in (besides city) and couldnt get a group the entire time.  I actually do enjoy the pvp on this game, especially group pvp but the population is just wayyy too dead... I gave it a try but oh well

Yes, AB has a pretty large population --also lags more than most other servers-. But the two US PvP servers are pretty damn dead in most place at most times.

It must've been dead when a PvPer came on a PvE server looking for guild mates to join his guild (isn't PvP suppose to be soooo popular?). And you know it's even desperate when he's even willing to train newbies, too (something you just won't find offered much in this game, as they're so class/level conscious).

PvP on EQ2 never was really that big, reason there is like 2 PvP servers. Most EQers like PvE.

Yet those servers have trinkets unlike PvE servers -- ingame store and other perks. Very special setups for those who want to keep a couple alts there.

It was a tempting offer (training in EQII is r-a-r-e), but the no transfer clause keeps alts hostage, and perhaps that's the main reason PvP isn't popular in EQII.
