in Final Fantasy XI

this game comes to europe in 10days, its gonna be same as US version obviously so need some advise

reading this section, i seem to read alot of negative thoughts, yet on the site it has a very high rating, i love FF7 thru to FFX-2 on PS1/2, is it like them ? im i likely to like it if its like them?

    FFXI is a great game if you take the time to READ!  It has some of the familiar names/characters yet it is not quite like other FF games.

    Many people hate this game because they won't/haven't take/taken the time to figure out the game before they play it. 

    If you wanna enjoy this game from the start, I suggest you visit as many sites as possible to learn about how to play this game. 

    Vault IGN and Allakazam are 2 useful resources.  You will find many Newb guides and forums discussing the  ins/outs of the game.

    Find topics on:

    1.Jobs/Races 2.Macros 3.Making Money.

    Give yourself alot of time to absorb the gameplay...the learning curve is steep initially.

    THIS GAME IS NOT PICK UP AND PLAY!  BUYER BEWARE!

    Take it easy...explore and enjoy the world.  People who want to rush things are immediately turned off by this game.
