low specification mmorpg

Hello, i used to play neocron, but i can no longer play due to the expansion pack requirments. Does anyone know any good mmorpgs that don't need a good computer to run? I have a 1.33 ghz processor,  240mb ram and a 16mb 3d graphics card.

    There are plenty of low-req 2D games out there.  Not sure about the more modern 3D ones.

    You might try NexusTK (www.nexontk.com) or Dark Ages (www.darkages.com).  Both are fairly decent games.  Dark Ages puts a bigger emphasis on role-playing.

    Dark age of Camelot. A middleage MMORPG with swords and mages..

    I have a 700mhz laptop, with 576 mb ram. A 16 mb Rage pro graphic card and the game runs fine in low detail.

     You have a NICE processer. A horribly outdated RAM. ( 1 GIG Ram is mandatory now. Though you can get by with 512 Ram) Your graphics card needs attention after your Ram. GeForce 6 (or equivilant) has just came out... so it should be cheap for you to get a GeForce 4 (or equivilant.)

     EVERY MMOPRG will sooner or later get expansion packs, so it does not matter which new one you switch to, sooner or later you will have to stop penny pinching and spend the $200.oo (minimum at least to take care of your RAM first) to $400.oo to upgrade the outdated parts of your computer.

    Try ultima online.

    And not everyone can afford or have a computer upgrade at the top of their priorities.

    Legend Of Mir 3 just went open beta.

    Its a pritty low spec, enjoyable little game and free atm ::::01::

    Ragnarok Online has low requirements.

    Although its not for everyones liking. There was a 2 week trial about a month ago, don't know if it still lasts.

    I think Ultima Online will be a good decision. There is a lot of shards out there, so its a great variety of game styles.. some are PvP some hardcore RP .. its just up to you to find the one which will suit you best. I know its kinda old game, but its still great fun on many shards. I have a high end machine and I really enjoyed the game and stopped playing it just some months ago, when my favourite shard was closed ;(

    Even though UO is a pretty old game, several expansions have been released by the creators of the game. One of the latest expansions, and the most 3d alike one, is actually free. I even think I saw a third party program/client that you can install into your UO library that made it completely 3d.. But if you want to play this on a shard you have to find one that supports it..

    Thanks for the help. I don't have the money to upgrade, so i think ill check out dark age of camelot or ultima, since the new samurai expansion will be out soon.

    Well, I have some ideas to you:

    1- Play RYL opem beta, pretty neat game with REALLY low specs

    2- Try to enter WoW and/or EQ2 betas.

    3- Try those games in the MMORPG.com Top 10 in the main page, I beleive theyre all lower specs than u have

    Asheron's Call 1 is a fairly good bet for an outdated pc. Last I knew you only needed a PII 333 to play. The graphics may not be the best, but there is a ton of stuff to do. Challenging too. They still have a fairly decent number of subscribers even after being out for years.

     I don't know how old you are. But in most USA states you can work part time if you are age 14 or older. If you are age 9 or above, you can get a newspaper route. If you are 18 or older, all you need to do is work for 1-2 months full time, or even at 2 jobs for a few months. Then quit. Then you will easily have 200 to 400 bucks saved and can upgrade your memory. image

    lawl...owned......but why get a job wehn you can play games image i just suggest trying out every game you ca find and play one that is fun a suitable for your computer. dont listen to our opinions its only yours that counts if yo uwant to choose the game.

    RAM is dirt cheap these days, get up to 512 and you should be able to run the original EQ, which is also dirt cheap. And whoever told you to try the WoW or EQ2 betas is on crack. . . you won't get the character creation to run on that rig. . .

    Well, excuse me, I havent plaied any of them, but I do know that their system reqs r lower than that guy has! If im not mistaken WoW is 800mhz and 264(maybe 512 not sure) Ram and EQ2 is 1ghz and same RAM. So I would say hes cpu is good enough
