Dude diablos dev team consisted of bill roper and 4 guys, and yes they did create diablo1 and 2 but still is owned by blizzard , and btw they left like what 7 years ago? blizzard has been working on diablo3 for some time now, why else 2 years ago could you see in there help wanted section, need programers familar with diablo 1 and 2? lets see to create star trek94 mmm, of course you can only see secret project now , but heh the hard core diablo fans catch there slip ups and know diablo3 at blizzcom !!!!!!!

Everything I've read has said that they intend to have neither Starcraft OR Diablo be their new MMO, if you have evidence please post it I'd love to hear more about this.
I'm an old blizzard fan, I agree with the folks who say WoW's color scheme and kinda cartoon ish graphics made it hard for me to feel part of the game.
I'm hoping whatever it is, its a little more like how Diablo 1 felt, creepy and dark.
Even if its not Diablo, I like the gothic feel it had, made you feel part of the action because you were always jumping when something new came around the corner.

I see your point, the chances they just bought this domain to collect everything associated with their IP's is slim considering the timing. D3 is probably their new "secret" MMO project.

frankly the fact that Blizzard owns the rights to Diablo3.com is more impressive than a diablofan website.
On a cool side note Blizzard has made it so every one of their older games no longer requires a CD to play!
AND you can download most of them off their website if you have the CD Key!
Now you can lan party with all your buddies with only one copy, or just play it normally if your apt to losing CD's like I am.

When is blizzcon suppose to be? Id like more information, WoW was a great MMO but Im sick of it. Any blizzard game will be at worst decent.
If it is sandbox, I will be in for the long haul (unless it is butt raped like VG).
If it is a WoW clone, I will more than likely play it, but only about as long as I played WoW (~6 months)
Blizzard already made the biggest fantasy mmorpg. Now it's time to make the biggest sci fi mmo.

It would make more sense to do a starcraft MMO since they already have sc2 due out soon so an MMO in couple years would be a logical next move. Alot of people are just playing WoW because pretty much every MMO released in the oast 2 years has been total shit.
Amen to that. One things for sure though, if they don't put in the same blood sweat and tears that they put in to WoW (7 years in development) then they wont meet the standards they've set. So I wouldn't be thinking 2 years away, more like 5 or 6 considereing that this only went in to development in March last year.
+ I'd expect them to do at least one more expansion after WotLK. It's a licence to print money. The problem is I'm ready for something new now lol.

they probably would use the WoW engine though so development actually could be cut down to 2 years.

noobs, starcraft 2 was announced a while ago. and this is gonna be a mmo, not a mmorpg. and if u check the picture where the ice falls away each time they update it, youll see diablo 2 runes in it. this will be
DIABLO 3,

a mmo is nothing more or less than games like starfraft, diablo, age of empire
mmorpg are games like Wow, Daoc, ultime online
Actually, there are runes from three IPs present in the picture: Warcraft, Diablo and Starcraft respectively.
I still think the game will be Diablo 3, however.
The RPG bit doesn't have to be fantasy, it can be sci-fi too. Knights of the Old Republic was a role playing game, as is Mass Effect.
Personally I think it's just the release date for WotLK. Although I hope it is something new as WoW is getting really old now. I doubt it will be D3 as Bliz have said this new MMO aint going to be fantasy.

i think it will be a transformers mmo. it makes sense if you think about it.
Diablo 3 has already been announced, get with the times.
yeah, looks good. wasn't a huge diablo player so doesn't hit me as the al-mighty. for some though this is huge.
their job listings is still showing top-secret MMO though.

First off.
Dont call Diablo 3 or any of the diablo series a MMORPG.
They arent MMORPGS, they are just plain RPGS, that you can play multiplayer with.
and thats why i like them so much.
Its not one big giant game, its rooms, like it has been in Diablo 1 and 2.
The game will be a huge hit for all the diablo fans, and prolly many more.
Especially without the monthly payment.
I just hope they make Battle.net better then it was for D2.
PS - All mammals have nipples.
