I have read everything atleast once, seen every screenshot, watched every video 20+ times, literaly.
If you're an old EQ1 player, I'm sure you remember either logging out and looking up a map or printing one out yourself from EQAtlas or another valuable resource. In EQ2 you'll no longer have to do that that's right, maps will be an in-game feature, complete with a "you are here" marker. I for one will appreciate this, as I always seemed to get lost running through Western Wastes, regardless of how many times I had passed through there. If you still need to look something up while playing, fret not; you will be able to play EQ2 in windowed mode http://www.eq2center.com/db/article.asp?ID=99
When Magus said his not allowd to, it could be that his in the Beta.
I read that map thing somewhere else than that link i showed above. I just did a search on the EQ2 forums and someone posted that in reply to the topic. So its been stated more than once that maps are in.
Just because they might not be in Beta, doesnt meen they wont be in the final product at game launch.
"Every NPC (well, 99%+) will have voice-overs" Compare that fact to Beta and it would be false, because the Beta doesnt have all the voice-overs in yet.
Not to rain on your parade but the above screenshot is a picture of the city map... you can see in the tab there's a current zone map as well. If your going to use unauthorized pictures to back up an arguement at least know what your looking at.
And I'll quote Magnus... false and false...
