New i belive...its of this german guy playing with the camera right behind him and he talks in it from time to time in german i hav no clue whats going on but we get to watch him play

jeez..best graphics ive ever seen for a mmorpg..mind boggling. EQ 2 will be a very tempting game to get, atleast it's setting a new standard with what its doing.

Im not an EQ fan believe me but damn.ive decided.I'm waiting for EQ2 to play it hehe. hope it doesnt dissapoint me. Hey *stupid* one question, will i be able to like sit in EQ2? like in RO, FFXI etc?

Thought i already commented on this video,but oh well here goes again.
I have had the opportunity to work with a few gaming engines as well as alot of serious playtime in different type games,so i kinda have a very hardcore attitude towards what i see in a game.
This video although in german i can assume,was to only show off voiceovers.In saying this ,anything i say here after doesnt mean a heck of a lot.The only thing that caught my eye as showing anything to brag about was the realistic looking water the ship was sailing in.
What i did see was what looked like 256/8 bit textures but again they were not trying to showoff looks.There was a sequence where the player was picking up a box,that showed no hand picking it up.It merely dissappeared from the deck,ending up in the players inventory.
The fight scene with the rat really showed poor animations and looked cheesey.By this i mean the player was swinging the club across the mid air,while the rat was down at his feet[lol]and was the same pattern a couple cross swings then a down swing.
They were showing some different player looks by changing the head/colours,that was it.The body mesh remained the exact same.I just tried another mmorpg that used a neat morphing proggy to adjust the facial looks,they coulda done something like that.
Voiceovers are a real nice touch to any game,however they are nothing special u couldnt do on a gaming engine 10 yrs ago.Just a bunch of speech files loaded onto your hardrive waiting for the right action to force the game to access them.
Like i said before ,from the screenshots and that video,it looks like an age old gaming engine with a few new touches.In saying this i still fully plan on giving EQ2 a chance when it comes out,because overall gameplay/ideas/interaction will win over any looks everytime far as im concerned.
Another thing newer gaming engines like to showoff are its particle effects,wich again were not evident in that video.So really nothing there other than a video showing voiceovers.Did i mention the water looked really good
will it all look like that in the game ?or was that a scripted sequence with a boat pasted over an mpeg of water,or was it really a nice looking animated water textures.Even the experts question the videos shown off in half life2,but thats another story.

all i gotta say to that dude is shutup and play it, he wouldnt be quiet. it was more him babbling than actually seeing the game. other than that the game was teh uber 1337. lol
I am sick of seeing the same type videos and screen shots. I just want to play the game. We all know it's going to be amazing! I am hoping I get accepted into the beta, in my 20 years of my life I never beta tested a game! Played EQ for three years, but cancelled. Does that count for anything?
