I need something to play until EQ2 and WoW are out.
How are these 2 games. Only hack and Slay or is there quests/story as well?

Pristontale is just Hack and SLash, is very Diablo-like but a little bit deeper on skills, stat-points and things like armor/shields and types of play. I can very much advice you to try it out, through it simplicity, it's addictive.
Best thing is you can play for free till lvl 39, no obligations at all! It will sure take you a long while before you get that far, and when you are there, you can always start again with a other char, which is usually surprisingly diffrent.
Don't know anything about that other game

!!!!! How does he dare to even include D2 name in the same post as PT!!! Oh, ah, that hurts! And he even says "PT has deeper skills, stat points and items and stuff". Omg omg omg omg..... This is so sad 
. I mean, ppl have different likes but saying PT is like D2 just a lil better, CRAP!

P.S. RYL is cool game. Its a bit just Hack 'n Slash but maybe the new NA version(should be getting to OB really soon) will introduce some depth to to the game. It has quests(like 1xx atm) and some have good rewards and r fun to do. I would advise u try it out (if u wanna try the NA version its www.planetwidegames.com , for Malasian(in english) its the 1 theres on the games list.

First of all. I am a girl.
Secondly, excuses I stepped on your almighty toes, but OBJECTIVELY seeing, Diablo (Which I did play, and WHERE did you ever see I mentioned Diablo2?) are both of the Hack-and-Slash genre. I could also say Dungeon Siege-like, that would even be more precise since the graphics of Dungeon Siege are far more advanced then Diablo's. Pristontale is a bit more colorfull and manga-like, but it's still 3D.
Thirdly, I will campare a few things of Pristontale, with Diablo 1.
Diablo: 3 types of characters, 3 types of statistics, level after level the same dungeons, only with a few different graphics (Great story tho)
Pristontale: 8 type of characters with each of them 16 unique skills to master, level and discover, 5 different statistics and a whole bunch of different levels.
Even the *rumble*FANTASTIC*rumble* Diablo 2 doesn't have that much characters. Diablo is also a SINGLEPLAYER game which has most of it's value in the story you play. The multiplayer side is nothing more but leveling up by fighting, which is the exact same with Pristontale and....OMG that's called Hack-and-Slash!!!!
In your vision, games you like are not to compare with games you not like. Maybe you should widen your point of view and try to see things OBJECTIVELY.

yeah risk your life is hack and slash. I like the way the characters fight tho. as for story line I have even seen one rofl. The quests are alright, nothing too fancy. The one thing that really bothers me is that the game itself has like very very little skills. I have a lvl 34 warrior and a lvl 25 assasin and i have like 4-5 skills which I upgrade as I level up. I don't know about you, but i like a little variety in my game.

So in short:
Pristontale/RYL both hack-and-slashes
Pristontale: (almost) no quests, lots of skills
RYL: OK quests, less skills.
The rest seems the same
Don't know about the graphs or gameplay on RYL tho!

Well, OK u spoke of D1, but then again u say PT is better than D2.
U say D2 hasnt got that many chars? well original D2 has 6 and expansion adds more 2! Make the calculations and then speak. In D2 every char had 30 unique skills. In d2 u dont need to pay to some trainer to upgrade ur skills, u get a new skill point to use each lvl! And 5 stat points 2!
In D2 the on-line version wasnt "lvl up and fighting". U had a ladder, u had acceptable PvP, u didnt need 1 full day to get from lvl 18 to 19 in a party, and u would do "runs" to find those rare UNIQUE and SET items that PT DOESNT have. PT has no depth, u just kill, kill, kill, kill... U have ur first UBADUBA quest @ lvl 20 and u only get a upgrade in ur characters look!
Back to the "weapons/armor more developed or whatever". In D2 u had tons of combinations possible with suffixes and prefixes while in PT u could only have +dmg/+def/+something else that I dont remeber.
Oh, and to the skills, if I u like to start having skills @lvl 10 or something, and only be able to upgrade them, for money, from 2 in 2 lvl, then u bit strange.
Ill say all ur arguments r no arguments, so stop comparing a mediocre MMORPG with 1 of the best games ever done...

For the last time, I'm not insulting anything or anyone by saying that a certain game looks like a other certain game. Capiche??
I will never ever say the word Diablo 2 ever again, if that will help you into finding your calmness and peace. (even if I did only mention it once before, and still stay with my first explanation that I was AT FIRST talking about DIABLO)
Anyway, don't act so much like a kid with a passion bigger then is good for him for just a game.

Well I agree, diablo 2 is crap. Err, I meant to say I didn't like it. Diablo was way more fun.
I played PristonTale and I am level 20 on it. And I will say it is about as Fun as D2.
they Both had thier advantages and dissadvatanges. I loved D2, D1, Dungeon Siege, and PrinstonTale. I wouldn't pay for PT after 39 cause it still isn't my type of game to pay for.
Ryzom is pretty good, but I am constantly partying with my girl. And it is fun to do team work. SOLO.. I probably wouldn't play any of those MMOs.
I played AC, AC2, and FFXI, and Even EQ, and a whole mess of others.. and I am tired of the same ole level grind as it is.
Hmm seems like thsoe games have no depth at all. I don't look for another level grind.
I was in early Ryzom Beta but didn't liek it too much. Did they add some content lately? To me it looked like a MMORPG HULK. It has the leveling, it has the mosters to kill but it has no storyline no epic quests, basically nothing i would want ot level for.
The last MMORPG that was fun to me was FF XI because of it'S great quests. Too bad it's almost impossible to get a Party in that game later on wich killed the fun in the end.
