really having a beta???

i have been to the site/forums and there is very little info for a game that is going beta and launching this year....anywere else i can look for more info???? thanks

I do believe that it is in the early stages of thier Alpha, if what I have read in thier Forums are to be believed. It was stated that friends and family are trying to test out the game and that is all that has had access to it. Or it could be a lie and it is all Vaporware waiting for a good wind to blow it away, I really don't know.
Yesterday on the official forums Khatie, the senior community manager, announced that she had sent out 2oo beta invitations during the past week, with more to follow on a regular basis, so it looks like closed beta is underway.

Sorry to disappoint guys, but this will no way be released in '08. If so, be prepared for another unfinished, fanboi game. Funny thing is, SG doesn't have that large of a following...just seems like a very small gaming company trying to get on the dar.
As they're not in closed beta yet I have to agree. However, I'd prefer it to be delayed until it's ready so we don't have another AoC debacle. I need th extra time to get my PC upgraded so a Q1-2009 release will suit me better. The video did look good however.
