Since my subscription is cancelled and my gametime over I cant check this myself... but is it true that ALL female NPCs have clothing now? Even the derkato followers and such? If so, anyone knows why?

Ah nevermind, found out for myself: "Its more than cyber boobies. Alot of things are being toned down. Dialogue is being changed ,Npcs are being dressed."

This is super lame if true, some of the adult dialogue is one of the things I liked most about the game. When a NPC said "Crom's balls" it kinda made me laugh.
Thats just crazy, they are taking the conan out of age of conan lol

wow, is this serious? I thought tits and gore was this game's main selling point earlier last year and they're toning it down? I wouldn't think they'd do that. Seems like a bad move on their part, especially at a time like this. Tits and gore don't interest me to an extent, but when you don't have DX10, siege warfare, working spellweaving, lack of lvl 50 content, but then...

Well one reason why they'd be forced to do that in my opinion is that (lets face it) a bunch of kids are playing the game despite the M rating and when their parents find out about the nudity and such what do they do? cancel the account.
Since they need to keep their subs, it wouldn't surprise me if this change was directly related to that. Of course it may be because they're panicking about the cancels and just want to broaden their market, who knows.
No matter what we may say, only Funcom knows for sure.

It's not just the rendered boobies. It's the simple fact that they are changing the "mature" out of the game. They are removing adult content and butchering the lore to make the game more accessible to children. I wouldn't be surprised if a few months from now, the rating changes from M to T.
Now, I'm not sure if they are doing it as I don't have access to the game and can't check but if they are though, that's a real shame.
Someone who plays, confirm this please. If it is true I going to be laughing my ass off all damn day!
Well a quick glance at the official forums showed nothing about this so it's quite possibly a pure troll post.

You don't change one of the key selling points of the game unless you are forced into a corner and desperate for subscribers.

I really dont care about such things. They dont matter at all. IF ppl played AOC cause of Boobs and blood then they would have left already. Im much more conserned about the basic systems that make this a longterm MMO game. They simply are not acceptable in any way atm.
But if this will add to the list that realise that Funcom is not here to keep any kinda promises or care about their playerbase - then you know now. Just thought you would have known about one month ago.

Read the post again Sherlock. I said it was possibly a troll post, and made it quite clear I had taken a quick glance at the forum, not an indepth one. Now if you want to keep ripping into me for making a comment about possibilities, not making an accusation, then please go right ahead, it'll say a lot about you.
The thread that was linked earlier in this one does indeed talk about these changes and I'll refer you to my first post in this thread as my first comment assumed this was true.
It's called keeping a neutral stance Sherlock, something you seem to have trouble doing considering your 'fanboi' reply.

The real world is a visceral, nasty, scary place, with cursing, gore, fear.... oh yeah, female and male nudity.
Some of us who have been desensitized by the real world are getting tired of playing cartoon games. I've suffered through these terrors in real life, and I would like to explore these attributes of life in the safety of a virtual fantasy world. AoC's draw was that it was going to be the mmo(fantasy)rpg to include just a taste of real life, mild nudity, and mild slurs. Can't you understand how betrayed some of us are that these very minor quibbles are being omitted now... basically just being a re-hashing of EQII?
And what the hell is so insulting about a nipple anyway?
