Definetly trying this, COX is so damn boring and repetitive this game can't be any worse and if successful will pull alot of players from CoX guarenteed.
I don't think that even the people that have played Champions care much about the Champion's Universe. It's a new superhero MMO - that's all I care about.
Most will. It's next generation. It will make COH look and feel dated. That fact combat is real time is a big plus for a super hero MMO. The old owners of th COH IP wouldn't have given it up unless they knew they had a next gen product that what leaps forward from the first attemps of a Super Hero MMO.
I haven't played COH/COV for more than a year now and won't be going back but I'll be trying Champions online. If I don't like it I'll just throw it on the pile of mmo's I don't play anymore.
i dont do COH but Champions seen like another CoH to me. However, this game can really take off if it has more features than CoH
CoH is the game I love to return to but statesman was, in the long run, the reason for things being the way they are. He could have made the game better but didn't want to make changes that players wanted. Now he has a new game coming out and I wonder if he will now put in those changes.........
I'm going to love this game if it's anything like the old CoX... I've been looking for a CoX replacement for over a year now, and this game in development (thank God by the same company) should without a doubt be my next MMO home for a while... if it delivers everything it says it will.
Pretty much "ditto" to the post by the previous person. Been playing CoX off and on since it's release and I love the game still. I've been thrilled at the prospect of CO for some time now and cannot wait to play.
Definitely will. City of Heroes is getting old (been playing since september 2004).
Though I will most likely still be subscribed to City of Heroes to play with friends (who I know won't leave the game anytime soon!), I think Cryptic will do a much better job with Champions Online.
I always felt City of Heroes of being extremely different than what I wanted a Superheroes online game to be. Hopefully Champions Online will give me what I was hoping for!
Regardless; Cryptic have learnt from CoH and CoV, and I believe they're listening to the players and making Champions Online what City of Heroes will never be; a *fully* customizable game!!

I will, the combat system sounds a lot better among other things.

Final nail in the coffin for CoX.
Take the Magic: The Gathering 'What Color Are You?' Quiz.
Of course I'm trying it. Even if it's crap it's better than watching American Idol...
hmm.. this game boasts NO RECHARGE TIME for its attacks... interesting
Champions may seem like a more polished game, but the fanbase for the Champions Universe is not surviving

I played CoH back when it was new, and it was considered "in" to play it.
Will be at least looking into Champions Online to see if it interests me.

I may try it but I do not see myself playing it on a regular basis, and that is mainly due to other games comming out.

If only SW:TOR could be this epic...
