Hi,
First of all i am going to come right out and say it, i want a buddy key.
Now that that's done i want to know a little about the game. I have played before but i was so limited by the trial that i quit so i want to try this puppy out for really.
Raiding:
What is this like? I've seen a few videos here and there and it looks quite epic, but is it the same as WoW where you go once and then as time goes on you hate the place or does it feel fresh a lot of the time? Yes i understand all things get old, but you know what i mean. Also, is the best gear in the game coming from raids?
PvMP:
What is this all about? Like i said on raiding, i've seen a few videos and it seems fun, but does it have a purpose to it at all? Can you play the game just as a monster (after reaching 10 to make one)?
Crafting:
One question, can i make uber gear, weapons, contraptions and the such that actually truly matter in the game? When gathering the things i need for crafting, do i chop down trees or just bend down for no reason over them?
That's it for me so far, if any of you have a spare buddy key i would GREATLY appreciate it if you let me use it. Thanks!

Dowload the free trial of you cant get a buddy-key!
There are only 2 raid-instances right now (more coming in expansion) and they are both pretty interestingand have alot of coolt story connected to them!.. you will probably get bored by them after doing it alot of times...
the rewards from raiding is pretty much the best (rift gear) but the PvMP gear and crafted gear is not far from it, in the next free content update there will be some changes to drops from dungeons to make them better!
The PvMP have a purpose.. its 1 zone with 5 keeps that Players and monster players fight over.. as a Monster you gain ranks and destiny points that can be used to get new skills and stuff.. there are players that only play as monsters.. and if you dont like PvE you can start a monster as soon you reach lvl 10 on your normal character!
Yes you can make really good stuff with crafting that will be good enough for any content in the game!
Hope it helped![:) :)](http://3.19.0.2/resources/emoji/smile.png)
If WoW = The Beatles
and WAR = Led Zeppelin
Then LotrO = Pink Floyd
You get your best geer as of to now from raiding.
Pvmp is a nice change, some good geer from doing that.
The idea with pvmp geer is so that pvpers and anti raiders dont have to raid to get some nice stuff.
The difference between the best raid stuff and crafted/quested/pvp is pretty minimal. Actually even with the raid sets, there's usually a piece or two that i don't like because the stats they put on it aren't as good for me as the ones on crafted or pvp armor. So what it boils down to is that you don't feel as forced to continue grinding a raid after you've completed it. And like somebody mentioned, the raids in lotro have some very cool lore involved. They feel very naturally connected to the world. In WOW it seemed like blizzard was just adding instance after instance with crazy bosses, and then they'd come up with some back story for the play that may or may not have felt authentic. In LOTRO for example, the first major raid boss that was introduced in a mid level quest where you witness a certain event (avoiding spoilers). So when you get to the level cap and go do this raid, you already have a connection to the lore behind the boss and the area he's in.
PVMP is fun, and does have some repercussions. Supposedly book 14 which comes out this month is going to make PVP events have a larger effect on the overall world. It can be very fun. Sometimes ther'es not much going on. It just depends on the day. Some people do choose to play as monsters only. If you like PVP a lot, that might work for you. But you're missing out on a lot of the PVE game. Luckily it's easy to play both.
Crafting- the crafting mechanics are simple. It's very similar to the crafting in WOW except for the ability to have critical success which either gives you more components or a better item. The nice thing about crafting is that the things you can make are good and compare favorable with looted and quest items throught all levels- even at the "end game". You can make money crafting, but in a lot of cases the raw materials will sell for as much or even more. This is because everyone can craft, so most people do so since it's another thing for them to do. So you end up with a lot of demand for raw materials. Not much you can do about that, but if your'e smart and you play the market well you can make good money.

LOTRO- Guardian Wrymstrum & Lore-master Stabler on Nimrodel.
Conan- Zoltar <Angels of Death> Guardian on Stormrage.
One thing worth talking about here is the outfit option, you might liek the way oen set look, but prefer some other armor, well no problem. Just put the good looking armor as an outfit and the armor hwich stats you like as armor.
The result is good stats and good looks.
Honestly pvmp right now isnt really as "professional" as what you might have experienced in eve or guild wars. But its a nice way of seeing pvp.
