I just have a few questions about the script. I'm trying to make a vehicle that flys. I know, lame, but humor me. I'm brand new to this system, so I was wondering if anyone here could tell me:
1) Is there a script to make something ridable?
2) Is there a script to make it fly?
3) How do you attach multiple objects into one object? So that they're permanatly stuck...
4) What's the script to make something capable of being sat on?
Of course, if you could just point out a good tutorial that answers some questions, that's great too. I've tried looking, but couldn't find anything decent. So much junk to sift through.

IIRC, the forums are mostly closed, some nonunderstandable (on my part) move from Linden Labs, to move from forums to a blog.. but you can still post in some parts, and you can always look through all the information there as well I know it helps me a lot, anyway.
Not good with scripting yet.. or else I would help you as much as I could. My first attempt was that skydiver script, which I tweaked some. Boy did that send me out into other space.
Scripting/Design etc. forums are staying forever.
You dont need a script to be able to ride something, you just sit on it. To link objects you select them all then there is a Link option or Ctrl-L i think. There are alot of basic driving and flying scripts out there, it's best to start with a generic one and customize it. They are hard to write from scratch unless you know what you're doing.
Hope that helps!
Hello
To learn scripting, take a few classes. You can find these in SEARCH>EVENTS>EDUCATION. TUi, NCI, and Mystical Masterys have the best ongoing classes, in my opinion.
College of Scripting, Music, and, Horsa (47, 220, 84) has a great self-paced course on LSL scripting.

I guess I like it from the name .
