EverQuest II: Beta coming to the UK!

It's the time you've all been waiting for! Well for everyone in the UK that is! Announced at the official Everquest II Site, a Beta update was released:
EQII Beta Heading to the United Kingdom!

EverQuest II fans in the United Kingdom should start preparing for their time in Norrath! Beta invites will be arriving to players over the next few days. Keep an eye on your inbox!

    Not overly optimistic of getting in to this, but I can hope.

    Would give it a good workout if I do. Might keep me off my main game for a bit, which nothing else is managing at the moment.

    OMG i've got a deadline for the 20th at work, if I manage to get on the EQ2 beta then i'm gonna get soooooo sacked :))

    Wonder how many people they're gonna pick for the beta, and more to teh point, I wonder if we're still on track for a pre-xmas release with a beta starting sept!

    here's hoping anyway :) and good luck to my fellow brits :)

    Its not in full swing.

    For example the mmorpg.com eq2 beta contest winners ahve not even got in. 

    The UK as a whole will get in before we do,  which is sad.

    Wait, be patient, and maybe eventually you will get lucky and be accepted.  Until then..just pray.  And besides, if you don't get in, you can still buy it when the game comes out image

    There ARE a LOT of American testers in it. Howevr the NDA is VERY strict and for once there havent been any real leaks!!!

    Its nice to know we are getting a UK beta test. Just a shame I'm not paying for a premium Stormhammer account. I would love to beta test it.

    However with the release date now at 12th November, we dont have THAT long to wait in any case!

    last I heard there is about 5000 beta testers in US atm.

    Damn,

    a friend of mine gets exactly same problem, he goes to the signup page in the email, enters the key and all he gets is

    "I'm sorry but the key you entered is not a valid Friends and Family key."

    I get this too, all excited to have a key then it does not work.

    Another "invalid key". Either they've not yet activated the UK keys or the link in hte e-mail is to the wrong place (i.e. it goes to the US one rather than the UK one).

    My browser died after I'ld entered the key. I now can't enter the key again and can't figure out how to get to the next step of the registration process :(

    Think I have managed to register with the fan club but can't find anything useful there.

    im registered my firefox browser also died.

    Turns out if you get the message the key is already in use then you are actually registered. Just go to the beta boards... If you can see them then ure registered and u can get a link to the client there.

    Yup, beta boards now updated with useful info! 90mins of d/l left when I restart it.

    Only prob is I got stuck with a default handle on the boards, not the one I would have chosen, had I got the choice image
