a way to have a successful corp

cosycosy Member UncommonPosts: 3,228

hope u understand me well
are some ideas, "roads", way to make or some like that

IMO there are 2 way to get a good corp
1)"the big us"
-- get allot of time u need allot of time
-- recruit all type of ppl and in some way "think for them" (keep ppl busy even if ppl just log in to have fun they move faster if hear "lets make that . . . ") in some way if u like to be small or tome move peons is the best way
-- make a communist corp economy
-- make in some way that ppl believe that U are the good boys and act like that
-- almost all work to be done for the corp and that corp go better but dont go in "slavery" side
-- encourage the use of industrial/R&D alts
-- be a English corp make sure that u have from where to recruit

2)small one
-- make a corp whit a anarchic style
-- recruit less ppl but the smart one that dont need other ppl "to think for them"
-- recruit forum warriors and pvp gurus if u can
-- dont talk allot about politics
-- the fun is the most important thing there is no good/bad only fun
-- encourage the use of mission running alts
-- piracy is good
-- can i have your stuff

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
ppl when put feelings on game are better play more are more dedicated
and the easiest feeling to get from ppl is hate, so make sure that they hate alot of stuff
PD. post your ideas also
    Succesful corps are what the members make them. Im lucky my first corp was a pirate corp about 2 and half years a go. I really sucked lol so only in it for about a month. I then joined a industrial corp which taught me the ropes and had a great membership but slowly due to real life tings broke up in it. And then about 2years a go i found a corp called Ardent industrial. At that time the corp was empire based but with a sense they wanted some 0.0 fun. So we did some politics and got ourselves are own little system in 0.0 where we set up home. Our goal was to try and survive and make isk. We recruited more players with simular interests. We then formed an alliance with neighbouring corps called astral wolves which waas fun for about 6 months until drones regions opened and things became a little hot and we were pretty much driven out. Any way we then joined Hydra alliance where we are to this day.
    Ardent has always been a corp where players can do there own thing missions ratting mining trading etc. We have a corp tax but thats it nothing else. We encourage guys to participate in corp event like ice mining and stuff  once a week etc. and members volanteer to do things like refuel pos's and things. Also memebrs help each other liek carrier jumping stuff in and out if its needed.
    This way of running corp has worked for us. most of the members in Ardent have been with us over 1 year turn over is really low and usually peeps take a break because of real life not really to change corps.
    So i think a sucessfull corp is based on. Team work, simular interests and goals. Relaxed casual  approuch and non of this you must do that and you must do this attitude. If you can get the balance right you can have a very sucessfull corp. Are CEO has gone from running one pos in a 0.0 system to running a whole alliance with stations and towers. Corp itself is becoming richer everyday through hardwork and Teamwork.
    SO some tips for newer corps and established corps
    1) Have fun
    2)Dont order peeps to do things
    3)encourage participation in corp events.
    4)Get to know your corp mates in game and out of game (this doesnt mean you have to meet them but get to know there personal interests etc it helps form bonds within a corp.)
    5)Dont just recruit anyone we approuch people to join our corp we have been approuched and if they fit in we will recruit them in but we have security procedures to wittle out spys.
    6) Like i said we have players who have been with us over a year and longer and some guys who leave and come back. Id say we are very sucessul and you could be to just dont take eve to serously and have fun with your corp and mates after all you may be together for years to come.
    7)Plan for the future
    8) Just have fun :)
    I agree with what Marshall said, it's all about enjoyment and being able to play casually. I want to be able to log into the game and do my own thing if I want to. More often than not I will join in if someone shout up "Hey, where going to strip mine this belt... want to help out?" or "We're going pirate hunting, you comming?" or even "I need to take this load of T2 components to 0.0 and need an escort,can you help?".
    Also, from past experience, I wouldn't join a guild who would want to vet me as they'll probably let anyone in...
    Also, an occasional war can help bring corp members together (unless the people 'in command' use other people for bait without telling them that)... It can even bring about friendships with the enemy, as I have experienced firsthand. A good sense of humor is also a necessity; if people don't laugh at each other's jokes, the group will quickly fall to pieces.
    I still cant find a corp that I like.  My employment history is starting to label me as a thief but im not. Im just not content with any corp ive joined. They promise certain things that turn out not to be true at all. Sure we got 0.0 sure we got arknor and bistot sure we got great rats.  But they fail to mention the entire 0.0 region is filled with about 60 other corps that have 5 hulk alts and the bistot and arknor is never there to mine.  Or your constantly running from Reds, well actaully I have no problem getting away from reds and neutrals. Yes I am a care bear I dont want to spend hours making money just to have my ship blown up and it take a day or two to get back to where I was.  But probably  a couple months ago I was with a corp and yeah they were cool people and all but they just were failures at involveing new members. It took a WEEK just to get my stuff from high sec to 0.0 in a carrier jump. I mean I dont think that has anything to do with my impatience at all. I mean you expect someone to just fly out to 0.0 and sit in a station while they wait for your cap pilots to fly your stuff to 0.0? Lol na....  I mean yeah youll get the people that will say "well stop complaining about it and find somthing else to do" Well perhaps because that might infact be everything I own on that carrier jump and why would I go and buy some other crappy ship just to screw around for a week. I mean yeah I understand sometimes its just not possible to make these jumps right away due to enemies and neutrals and such but you need to inform the new member before he wastes an entire day getting all his stuff together and flying out there. Its all about getting new members and expecting them to cope with the fact that the founding members are not going to be as cool with them as they are with the others and you just feel left out of the loop a lot.  I need a guild that wants to do somthing together every night. Whether it be mine or pvp it dosn't really matter.  Its not all about the corps and people need to realize that if you dont motivate the people that are working their ass off for your corp they are going to stop careing about helping you because they are not getting anything out of the deal.
