I hate feeding trolls, but is anyone else sick of all the "this game is gonna suck" or "This game is a clone" or "WAR is coping this game etc".

People is able to do that because they are hiding behind an artificial name, so they can troll all they like and still remain an angel in real life.....

We are the biggest MMO target for trolls right now and will be fore some time, so learn to find humor in it. Telling them to learn about the game doesn't make a difference, most may even plan to play the game. They are doing it for the fun of getting a reaction. I don't see why everyone gets so worked up over trolls.

I hear ya.. just broke for a min.. it is just frusterating. I guess it is not in my nature to go trash talk things i could care less about, or feel jealousy towards a game of all things.

This place is full of trolls. I'm hoping WAR will be a success, I loved DAoC.
Let the trolls be, they are actually very beneficial on these forums. What they do not realize is that they are an essential part in generating more hype for a game. They are sort of the dung beatles of the online gaming message boards world. Disgusting creatures, but with a very useful function.
WAR is already starting to generate more hype here than AOC, thanks to the trolls. So probably they are leaving those forums (nothing to argue there anyway) and have started playing on these. What happens is that more and more threads are generated in the WAR forums, so more and more people are getting curious and start reading up on the game. Nobody even takes these trolls seriously anymore these days, but all the defensive replies they get do generate interest in those who have not yet read up on the game.
Essentially the point is: The more trolls an upcomming release generates, the more interesting that game becomes to people. It is only in the few months after the game has been released that the amount of trolls (who have then become 'haters') is going to be indicative in a negative way to its success (see the AOC forums). Unless of course the game becomes a huge succes, which will then attract a different type of troll. Seriously, some sociologists should come here and create a study out of it, should be quite interesting.
I've only played it for about half an hour at a games conference, and what I saw was very solid, smooth and fun. Chatting to the developers, they were genuinely excited about the product, which is not always the case with some, and so I have some high hopes for it. But realistically, until the live version has been out and running for a month, no one can tell what it will be like. As has been shown time and time again with MMO's, closed or open beta is very different from live, so anyone currently basing their expectations for collapse on that code really should know better.
Reserve your opinion for 30 days from launch is normally the best policy these days!

I like the reverse psychology view that the MMORPG.com trolling community actually drive a games hype. That is classic. I also think it is funny that there is such a black and white division here as well. You are either a fanboi or a troll with narry a soul inbetween.
I for one am very much looking forward to giving WAR a whirl AND I am anjoying AOC....Go figure.
The clone of WOW comments are frustrating because it clearly demostrates how poorly informed the trolling crowd is. But that topic has been beat to death for so long now it is not worth going into any further detail.
Anyway, I don't not see anything visually dramatically outstanding in WAR but it looks good and I am guessing will play well on an average machine. If they deliver on all the gameplay elements and keep the feel of the Warhammer universe in tact it will be a good game.

the best way to annoy a troll is to tell them, you like the game that he is trolling about. that pisses them right off.
