There are reasons I don't like LoTRO, but there are reasons why I think it's a good game. If you have never played it, it IS fun leveling to 50... even more so if you take your time. I dislike playing alts, so the game lost most of it's pizazz for me after I hit 50 and basically did everything but raid. I'm not a big fan of the art direction of the armor/characters either. I'll also give props to Turbine for client performance, it's a very stable game. You might as well try it, if you have the game and you aren't sure you want to resub... just install it and sign up for the free trial and play a couple classes to lvl 10 or something and see what you think.

If you didnt like it then you're probably not going to like it now. There have been some changes but nothing thats going to completely change your whole perspective on the game. Especially at lower levels the game is for all purposes the exact same as it was at launch.

Actually you might like it now. I did the trial when in came out, didnt like it much got bored after 3 h of gameplay. But i bought the game last month and somehow some of the stuff that had changed felt good. The game isn't totally different but somehow it feels nice playing it.

You have to get a good kin though, the community in this game is really great.

the game to the level top (50) is a pleasent journey. After that you have nice and quite fun s tuff to do with your toon :). Its worth a go and if you like the lotr books (and even the films) you will love the hobbit starting area :)
