I've been eyeing that one.
Better than Need For Speed Underground???
Have you tried RalliSport Challenge 2 yet? It is far better than number 1, or any of the Colin McRae games.
so far i like it better then NFSU underground for the simple fact your not locked into racing you can ride around town in your car and flash your lights at people you wanna race, and there is 50 cars you can get, and they will all fit in your warehouse your not stuck with NFSU's limited selection, and there a ton more parts and you dotn have to earn them, you buy them with money you get from races
Since I preordered Fable to it is coming soon, that is what I want most right now but if we are talking mmorpgs then,
1. WoW 2. Guild Wars 3. DnL 4. E2

Originally posted by rentantilus At this point in time, there are so very few worthwhile MMORPGs on the market and even less in production that can spark my interest and hold it for more than a day or two. Eve Online is without a doubt the most complex game out right now, but its "ship only" interface makes it feel rather distant and difficult to role-play in. City of Heroes is pathetically simplistic. 99% of everything else is a clone of EverQuest; now, clones aren't inherantly bad, except when they're clones of something that's boring, repetetive, and stupid. Neocron was a waste of everyone's time. Anarchy Online is great if you wanted a sci-fi flavored EverQuest. So, in order to cut this rant short before I rip all MMORPGs to shreads, let me give the top three games I'm actually looking forward to: 1. Face of Mankind. Duplex Systems is taking a hybrid approach to role-playing, merging an FPS interface with a complex faction/resource system. If it works, FoM will be the only true "next generation" MMORPG. Sorry all you WoW and EQ2 fanboys, neither of those lumps of crap is "next generation;" they're clones of current half-assed games with shiny new graphics that have brainwashed you. 2. Pirates of the Burning Sea. I tried World of Pirates, which promised to be a massive multiplayer version of the Sid Meyers classic "Pirates!" but it just didn't feel the same. There's just something about the loneliness of the open sea, the thrill of spotting land, and the desperate nature of open-sea battles that made the original so much fun. When the same world is packed with 'leet speaking uberdoods, all the atmosphere and fun are sucked right out of it. PotBS, however, is a MMO version of "Sea Dogs," which most of us remember as one of the first true 3D pirate games. Oddly, the only thing I felt it was missing was a multiplayer option. Don't ask me why, but "Pirates!" sucks when you add more people, but "Sea Dogs" is going to rock with a large community. 3. Fallout Online. Development of this title was only recently hinted at by Interplay's CEO, so it's not even a concrete project yet. However, even the slightest hope that a Fallout MMORPG might be released in the next five years fills me with more happiness than all of the current and all of the future MMORPGs combined. "Fallout 1" and "2" (and even further back, "Wasteland" and "Arcanum") were such clever, deep, open-ended, and well-written titles that I've been convinced that everything they touch turns to gold. Furthermore, the long-anticipated Fallout 3 is currently in development, which has me pumped up even more. I can't wait to see how Fallout Online beats the living shit out of the current MMORPG population of whiny little fanboy uberdoods: Uberdood235: "I made a character and ran outside the walls of town to hack at some rats so I can grind to level 2!" Fallout Online: "Sorry, your dumb ass just got mowed down by a gang of biker thugs with Uzis because you're stuck in that retarded EverQuest 'solo grind' mentallity. Welcome to hardcore role-playing, dipshit; if you want to survive in a gritty, post apocalyptic future, you've got to think on your feet and know when to keep your idiot mouth shut. Respawn? Oh, you must think this is some bouncy deathmatch arena or carebear high-magic fantasy world. You ran into the desert with only a knife and you got slaughtered like a moron should. You're dead, permanently. Put some more thought into your next character, retard." Sounds harsh, eh? It's going to be incredible. Finally, an MMORPG that rewards intelligent gameplay, wise tactics, and split-second decision making instead of catering to snot-nosed 13-year-olds who have nothing better to do than kill the same mob for twelve hours a day. Can't handle a real MMORPG? Want something nicer, friendlier, and easier to wipe your ass for you like your mom did? I'm sure EverQuest will still be around, clinging to its last few subscribers; you can always run back to shiny-happy world where you're comfortably immortal and nothing ever goes wrong. There's no mercy in the wasteland, punk.__________ When you see a new MMORPG, honestly think to yourself: "Is this game designed to EARN my $15 per month subscription with content, originality, and long-term value, or is it just designed to SCAM me out of $50 when I buy the box at the store with flashy advertising, biased reviews, and empty promises?"
Wow! a well educated smart person with some great ideas. Nice vocabulary there. It's nice to read a post now and then that's not repetitive, no l337 BS, and can actually qualify as an intelligent response. hehe
im in the stress test for WoW right now and comparing it to current mmorpgs it blows them away.. atleast for me.. ive barely slept at all in the past 10 days lol and ive already canceled my 2 everquest accounts they dont even deserve another penny from that game.
