After you've read all the posts over the last month and a half, do you still plan to buy AoC at a later date? I'm going to wait for the trial... in case anyone cares...

more than a million peopel already has the game and i think that should be enough subscriber for many months or year until free pass comes out

Its kind of a double edged sword, as half the posts made that hate on the game are inaccurate and littered with disinformation - making the genuine info difficult to discern from the false.
Hows does one determine what is true and what is not? by trying it out for themselves of course.
Myself, I am a current subscriber and am happy with the game in its current state, I look forward to seeing the game shape up over the next year and am entertained every single time I login to play.
That makes it worth it, to me anyway.

I would vote for both of the middle ones if I could but I voted for the "maybe, if they fix it" one. A fix I'm looking for is the company's honesty to the customers, which is non-existant at this point. I could care less if the game was fixed completely from a technical basis and it becomes the next WoW; if a company wants to treat their customers like sh*t then I ain't buying what they're selling.
Champions Online, Mortal, and Diablo III are what I'm looking forward to next when it comes to MMORPGs (possibly WAR, but it's becoming bleak). I might never try this game if they don't show some sense of morality. The reason I would also vote the upper middle choice is because of the fact that at this point I'm not going to buy the game (if it does happen I'm probably going to be waiting a couple months) unless I can get a trial in my hands first to see the changes in the game and, most importantly, the company.
EDIT: To people judging the game by this poll, you really can't get a fair estimate. It's going to be littered by unfair judgements... I just wanted to give my two cents on my own status of purchasing and subscribing to the game or not. I'd suggest actually reading people's comments on this thread rather than give a quick look at the polls.

They sold 700k copies or something they said and shipped 1 million or something like that. They never once said they have 700k active subscriptions, nor 1 million.

nope. they haven't even sold 1million copies of the game yet. last info they gave out was 700k sold, and from what I understand they won't ever be releasing the number of current paying subscribers.
Everything creates huge amounts of negativity on the internet, that's what the internet is for: Negativity, porn and lolcats.
I cannot bring myself to even touch that game, the character models look like shit.
If my toon is destined to look ugly as hell, the game is not for me :P

Im subbed for aoc, US servers are packed except 1 server (pve server not so much population in that server).
AOC is not dying and is currently filled with active populations here in usa.
Link to anything that shows the servers as high or packed? A simple study of log on during prime time hours and do a search would give us accurate numbers of how many people log in during the same time during the servers most popular hours.
Please keep to the point of the thread, we are not discussing whether you like the game or not, or the number of subs, just whether or not you would buy it... don't make me go all Funcom on your ass and ban you from the forums...
your poll is slightly slanted, sorry. You asked a question to those who have not played AOC, then ask if they "Still" intend to buy info after reading crap here. What about for those who never intended to purchase the game, and have not played because of other reasons? You also make the poll rather one sided in that it assumes everyone who is not buying the game is doing so solely for the fact that people have slandered the game (Or given accurate, tho negative reports toward) the game.
I do not fall in either of the categories. I posted long ago that I do not wish the company to fail. I am waiting for WAR and did not want to get involved in AoC during its problem period, rather wait til WAR, and if it did not deliver I figured AoC would have had enough time to settle into a more smooth game. Unfortunately, my opinion has been drastically altered. Not because of anything that any poster on this site has said. Rather I have watched the way the company, Funcom, has treated their fanbase and customers and even their potential future customer base. It has been very under handed and shady.
This is of course MY opinion. There are plenty of people who see no fault in Funcom, and think their product is the next coming. I wish them the bestm so please do not flame me for having my opinion. It is mine to have. I have witnessed some under handed dealings, and due to THAT, it is most likely that the only "chance" I would give this game at this point is when more of my friends quit the game and have gametime left on their accounts but are so fed up with the game or company that they do not wish to "waste" anymore of their time in this virtyual world, and I am offered more time.
This is the position that most people overlook to a fault however. They figure that because people are not playing AoC, they are trolls and haters. Maybe we are just self respecting customers who hold ourselves to a different standard than you/others. Do not read that as "Lesser" standard. I can already see the fanbois eyes bulging. I meant exactly what I said. Don't read into it.
The point of the poll is to judge how the multiple threads have affected the peoples decision to buy,or not buy, the game. I'm only interested in those people. if you don't fall into any of these categories, please don't vote as I do not need to know you response. The poll is purposely slanted.
with over 1 million subs i think its pretty obvious that people love the game. There is however a small group of maybe 20-30 people in the world that have had a few minor problems and cancelled. Since launch they have added lots of new subs to replace them though.
Server populations are pretty much maxed out so dont believe what all the haters are saying.
Have you noticed all these newish accounts with AOC in their handle? It's the Funcom damage control & bullshit department, I'm sure of it.
long while ago i was looking forward to this game, as time go closer i got un interested by very little info or ect, by the time it came out a few friends got it , i said il give it a try, but the trials dont work. Moving on i hoped on my friends made a quick charicter t ogive it a try, played a necro for 10 lvls, was very blah and that was the end of it. And after hearing so much more crap and issues, glad i didnt buy.
I'm skeptical about trying games, and I'm going to wait at least 6 months or until a free trial to try one that has had so many bad and only an average number of good things. It's great on paper, it's a good lore, and it has tons of potential, so let's hope Funcom improves. Hopefully they'll have a free trial of course...some games don't, which, in my opinion, is not smart.

Waiting for the next thing
I was curious about trying out the combat system. Not because I think it all that great, it looks slightly worse than DDO IMO, but out of curiosity.
However I changed my mind because I have come to the conclusion that Funcom is a bunch of crooks and I don't want to support them in anyway.
Shipped != subbed.
In fact Funcom itself has directly contradicted your statement since they say its 700k SOLD.
So I guess Funcom is part of that small group of people who hate the game and are spreading lies.
