I never really was interested in this game at first, it looked to much like WoW and I was just quiting and looking for a new game.  I recenlty looked at newer screenshots and man did it look a lot better.  The RvR sounds very interesting and Ive been wanting to do some good PvP cuz PvE does get a bit borring after awhile.

Ive been looking for a game that I can attack someone when and where I want to, is WAR like this in anyway? Or will I only be able to PvP in instances?

I really like the Classes and Races of the game, mostly different than any other mmo.  So far im interested in a Goblin Shaman, but I still haven't read all the other classes on the official  site. I wil be playing on the Destruction side thats for sure.

If anyone has some good sites that have more info about the game could you post them here or PM them to me. I would like to get as much info about this game as I can.

I admit, the first time I looked at Warhammer screenies I thought they looked similar to Warcrack too.  Mainly because the graphics were simplified for beta-testing... and then the more I looked at movies and stuff the less it looks like Warcrack in art-style.

Glad you have an interest though. This game won't be the second coming but it sets itself apart from WoW, that's for sure. There's 30 "battlegrounds" or instanced PvP sessions which last 15 min, but plenty of open-world PvP. Keep sieging and stuff in Tiers 3 and 4, and the Capital City has a bit of PvE mixed in, but only PQs and the King encounter.

    --------------------------------------
A human and an Elf get captured by Skaven. The rat-men are getting ready to shoot the first hostage with Dwarf-made guns when he yells, "Earthquake!" The naturally nervous Skaven run and hide from the imaginary threat. He escapes. The Skaven regroup and bring out the Elf. Being very smart, the Elf has figured out what to do. When the Skaven get ready to shoot, the Elf, in order to scare them, yells, "Fire!"

    Order of the White Border.

There will be 30 Scenarios sorta like the Battlegrounds in WoW, thats timed to 15-20mins.....then I'd say like 60% of the game is open world RvR!  Not instanced and you can kill and maim as many of the other realm all day long and even level up killing other players, including get random loot and coin drops from them as if you were killing PvE mobs!

Check out the video archive on our guild website I built for us!  Its the largest anywhere on the net and has information about everything on WAR thats available!  Link is under my siggy...

Yeah I also heard that WoW ripped off Warhammer's art style so then It made me kinda more interested.  Plus Ive always wanted to start a game at the begining  with everyone else. Well I did play Vanguard a month or 2 after it went Live but, my computer was crap and so was the game.lol

But with me building a new computer soon and me playing Eq2 atm I think its time to try a brand spanking new game thats hopefully will have a better release than the past mmos ive tried.

you CANNOT attack everyone everywhere in this game. First of all, there are two factions, Order and Destruction and you cannot attack your realm mates.

Second, you can attack enemy players ONLY in the RvR areas that are admitted quite extensive, especially at later tiers, but do not think for a minute this is a FFA game of any sort.

There is planned diferent server types. So its very likely that we will have server types that will suit the gameplay you want!

Next , the game is designed to put order and destruction into battle. The storyline , the scenarios, the rewards and renown, the keeps and guilds, the controlpoints (and pve rewards to keep them) , the rare dungeouns and loot you only get when sacking the enemies capital.

Everything leads to reasons and options for the sides to clash! This is what RvR means

if want to look closer at classes i think massively.com is a good place to go

Actually you can PvP in the PvE zones but you have to flag yourself and the enemy has to flag himself in order to do so.  Basically its completely consensual in the PvE areas where in the RvR areas anything goes (as long as you are the appropriate level).

But your right on the FFA...the game is factional / realm based.  They are considering Open RvR meaning you can RvR anywhere (i think levels limits still apply) but only against the opposing realm You wont have orcs beating up orcs :) tho that is usually fairly normal between different Armies.

At best we might get Race based eventually but it would completely destroy end game.

they might make a server like the PVP ones in DAoC which were intense and you HAD to make friends fast...Midgard would just roll through the alb starting areas everyday    ahaahaha   good times...good times

It sounds way too much like WoW..  like a static world with too many borders.
