Trying to not get bored...

Alright, I played a lot of games... Read about them and downloaded. Most of them I Could not STAND!   For Example, RuneScape (Wtf? Its like an EXTREMELY crappy version of World of Warcraft. Speaking of world of warcraft, the grinding and little kids playing is driving me crazy too. EVE Online I tried at a friends, was Okay but I don't think I could get into it. Guild Wars seems fun, I don't know if I want to buy it though, because when I played it I only could get to LV20?

I like grinding more than questing (Grinding Quests are good) and straight up running dungeons and everything. A game like WoW, but not WoW. I don't know if there are good games like that. I am currently playing Dungeons Runners but I want another game to go with it. I don't like PVP as much... Only when I am a good high level. Otherwise I am frustrated by it. I don't know what else to add except I am okay with blood/gore games, or non-blood/gore games.

So... Looking for a new MMORPG. Please post your opinions.

GAMES I WOULDN'T PLAY

-RuneScape

-World of Warcraft (My sig has WoW, but I JUST got down playing lol)

-EVE Online

GAMES I WOULD MAYBE PLAY

-Guild Wars

Well without you giving much info on what you like or don't like I suggest going to MMORPG's game list and searching out the ones you might like then see if there free or have a trial offer.  Then get to downloading...

    See, pretty simple.

Oh by the way you might  want to ease up on the little icon thingies...

    Any more suggestions?

Sounds like you might be interested in Lord of the Rings Online (WoW like graphics and sort-of class builds but a much more mature community IMO) or Everquest 2 (lots more character options and more depth overall, pretty good community also.) I've played both and found them both very entertaining.

runescape is more of a beginner's introduction to mmorpgs, guild wars is good but you can only level to 20 so if you like grinding its probably not for you, GW2 though has a more persistent world and around 100 levels or unlimited levels but there is a plateau of power in which you won't get any advantages in combat by leveling further, only for aethetic reasons

Let me know what you think, if you don't like it I'll recommend something else!

You mention "Lots of quests"...so far when I had played I found a total of 5 after the beginner area and the beginner or tutorial quests when you arrive in your race's town.  After that I haven't found any quests since the level 16 creatures to kill...am I missing something or do I need to grind up a few levels more to get more quests?? I'm playing a Dark Elf mainly..but also have a Dekan both are stuck at level 17 due to boredom.

you might want to try global.4story.com it is a WoW and FFXI clone but Boast a best Guild Function system which has the Mercenary system which sets aside wether you just want to be a merc or a regular(regular has the best benefits rather than a merc). for more info about the Guild Functions better check the site www.global.4story.com and the game guide section. and yes it looks like a WoW clone in some ways XD

GW is great but only if you like PvP. About PvE its instanced and is more like single play. About grinding and grinding quests I can recommend VG there are many such quests and items (in addition to trivial quests) that need grinding. The nice aspect of VG is that your skill and equipement can increase greatly your grinding capability compared to WoW. If you decide to try it have in mind that communication is very important. There is much more freedom to choose where to go what to do and typical WoW game play "just go forward" do not work very well. Its nice to know in every one moment what  are best places for you to upgrade your gear because most quests gives crap or no gear at all.

Where themepark games try to hide that they are copying WOW, games like Mortal Online and Darkfall make no attempt to hide their inspiration
