Me and a friend are currently playing Age of Conan which probably will not last much longer. We are usually on at the same time and enjoy grouping together to quest/grind. We have both tried a long list of the MMOs out there but we are open to any suggestions. I am preferably a tank class while my buddy is more of the caster or healer type. Any suggestion is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

Anyone at all?
Since you dont say what games you have played and what you liked/disliked abou tthem its hard to tell...
if you want a casual PvE MMO then LotrO is a good game for a duo, lots of "small fellowship" quests...
Guardian/minstrel is a good combo
but most class-duos work well together
If WoW = The Beatles
and WAR = Led Zeppelin
Then LotrO = Pink Floyd
Check out some of the Free MMOs out there...whats it gonna hurt? theres plenty of real good ones that can be done solo/duo to max lvl
Try Guild Wars. There are 3 different ones to choose from ... they generally cost less than the standard $50 for a new game ... and, since there are no monthly subscription costs, you can play as much or as little as you like without having to dip into your pocket. Heck, you can quit it at any point, try something else, and come back to it.

i agree skooma, i loved that dam game, bought all of them the first day they came out...but i just went back a couple days ago to feel quite alone in most of the outposts...there were still a decent amount of people...but most were just doin hero stuff and not grouping...i miss the GW grouping
Most of us do. Considering, however, that the OP is playing with a friend the grouping will be no problem. Each of them can grab 3 heroes and adventure together.
@ OP, I'd recommend Guild Wars Nightfall due to the heroes. It will compliment you as a duo well.
I tottaly agree with Skooma, most quests in Guild Wars are made to be completed in a group of 2 or more players. And since you and your friend are 2 and more players... The quests and storylines in this game are great and you can be a tank(warrior/monk) and you friend can still be a summoner(elemental/necro or monk). So in my eyes you should really give Guild Wars a try
