I wanted to enjoy this game so much but the game is a failure in my eyes. I was fooled by Funcom. I have high hopes for WAR. "crosses fingers"
I also stopped playing after 2 weeks
Yes, I canceled before my first month was even up. The game was just bad.

Waiting for: Earthrise, Guild Wars 2, anything sandbox.
yeah I am still playing it now after the 'free' month is up, and I am really really enjoying it...
But I think the most enjoyment I get out of the game is the great Guys I play with in the game...
Problem with the whole genre lately for me is that it seems every game that comes out is released too early, full of bugs, missing content, technical nightmare etc...Only exception that comes to mind is LOTRO, other than that, no recent game (excluding WoW and EQ(2) here) ever seems to be in release state.
Ultimately, the official forums become more hostile as the "haters and fanbois" dig in, the dev team (AoC especially) don't communicate, creating chaos as the community turns on each other. The devs make things worse with bad balancing decisions and more silence (AoC).
Things spiral downhill until I move on, the game keeps going, just nowhere near what it could have been.
My point is, instead of being a long lasting adventure, MMOs have become a month-long game, then onto the next. It sucks.
Now we see the cycle repeat with WAR, will it finally be a different story?
I had a blast browsing official forums when I realized I could do this without paying. So I cancelled.
Might want to cut EQ2 from that list , it was in worse condition than AOC . They had to revamp the game to get it to where it is today.

AoC has way too many issues to stick around. The pure lack of end game content is atrocious at best. The game, to put it simply, is boring. The crafting is a joke too, just get the gems you want and that's it. I had high hopes for this game but I'm afraid they need to clean house and start over because their incompetence is bleeding the subscription base dry.

Well all polls here are useless as majority of visitors who vote did not even try the game.

I got sick of it after the 2nd week of playing.
I didn't even buy this game.
I downloaded it from official site, selected paying option "pay by cash". Then they wait 3 days for your money transfer. Then automatically block your account if no money transfered. (I tried it in end of May)
2 days were enough for me
Btw, this is good option to try this game without paying anything to funcom cause they didnt allow buddypasses.
nope and uninstalled it after 3 weeks, might look again at it in 6 months or so see if its actually out of beta
edit: one thing i learned a long time ago is never believe any hype you read about a game on forums i will always buy a game that interests me and try it myself will be the same with war.
and the origins server for daoc has got me interested and i will be reactivating daoc for that to see if even with poop graphics the old game can entertain me for a while
I canceled to wait until they polish it. But i dont have high hopes in a game whos developers dont even have the brains to program A FREAKING NEXT PAGE button in the AH panel. I was wondering all the time if this guys have even tried to play their own game and not just tested parts of it. And to implement a simple shift-click option on player names to get more info seemed to be asking too much. Was getting tired of the loads of missing routine features which should be standard in any mmo game really - dont need to invent the wheel again, they should have just played some good competitor games and copy/paste.

Im playing it past free month. Im liking the game. I think a lot of people these days has too high hopes for just games.

Yes i'm still having fun with the game. I would say it took me awhile to find a class that I really enjoy playing with. So I jumped around form class to class.
I have a Assassin lvl 26, DT lvl 17, Nerco lvl 35, and TOS lvl 42. I'm really like my TOS so I plan to lvl him all the way to 80.
I do think that this game will get better with time.
Will I drop this game when Warhammer comes out?

same here. I enjoy playing with my guildies and chatting in vent. not so much the game itself. definitely leaving for WAR if not sooner.
I was able to play AOC for about two weeks then dropped out. Not a hateboi or a fanboy or a troll, omg those are just the lamest things to call people that are stating an option. Anyway, I was very very excited about AOC before it's release, I got my copy the day it came out, loaded the game and started playing. Graphic were great, fighting was different and kinda cool. But then the "boring" came to me, I just couldn't get into this game, it did not suck me in and keep me wanting to play. We did try, I even forced myself to play and see if it got better because I didn't want to go back to WOW. Dungeons boring, question boring, community boring, loot boring, i can go on and on. AOC will be lucky to hold on to 200k and I mean very lucky.
I payed past the first month. That was only cause I worked two days from 5am-3am the day before n the day of renewal. After that I was just to sleepy to bother n left it for a few days.But have now cancelled my accnt n have no interest in returning.
AoC was good...but ya as many say, boring, grindy n really nothing new cept for the beefed up graphics. Some ppl will love this game for a time to come. To me tho...can play Guild Wars or any F2P asian grinder n get the same kinda enjoyment as what AoC gives ya.
