Having trouble deciding which class and spec I'd want to play here. I'm almost sure that I'll play Hib and I'm leaning towards a mana eld, but not completely sure yet. So, here are a few questions for any DAOC vets who feel like tossing in their 2 cents
1. Which classes work well in PUGs and zergs. Yea, I know thats a weird question, but if most of your time was spent in those types of groups are there any specific classes you would lean towards?
2. Which classes will be in high demand? I'm guessing healers (as usual) but I'm interested to hear any other opinions.
3. This one is 100% opinion, but which classes do you think will be the most fun (not just the most OP'd) on this server. Why?

err, depends on what ya wanna do mana eld is a good class, but since she is a mage, squishy, if your going to play hib and wanna do massive dmg to single targets with a bit of survivability roll a nightshade its one of the more challenging classes or a blademaster, they are pretty good too.
Berserkers, Blademasters, and Merceneries are fun to play and will probably be welcome in PUGs if Charge still exists. Warriors, Heroes, and Armsmen are highly sought-after. Eldritches, Bainshees, Runemasters, Bonedancers, Sorcerers, and Cabalists are commonly found in PUGs. The Theurgist class will not be available.
High-demand classes are typically support, tanks, and either melee or caster DPS depending on the group setup. In a Midgard PUG, you'll need 2 healers, a shaman, and a skald. In a Hibernia PUG, you'll need 2 druids and a bard. In an Albion PUG, you'll need 2 clerics, a sorcerer, and a paladin.
The most fun class for me was the Armsman -- it's tough and it hits like a truck. Leveling as any tank can be frustrating on older servers, but I believe they will be in high-demand at the onset of Origins.
The most fun I had was with my Troll Thane on Midgard. Fun tank-mage, especially in RvR. Get a group of Thanes along a keep wall and blast away with AoE lightning and listen to the Albion casters wail in pain on the other side. Good times.
I make spreadsheets at work - I don't want to make them for the games I play.
Thanks for the input guys.
phlame - Eld was my most played class, so I'm sort of use to being squishy
dokah - I've considered playing a support class, I just don't know if I would like the play style. I've always thought they were the most challenging classes though, so thats a plus. Just not sure if I would like playing a Hib healer.
Puuk - I always liked the hybrids. Champion was one of my favorite classes. If they were more towards the caster side (rather than the tank side) I'd probably consider rolling a Luri champ, just for the fun.
Really, I think I'm still leaning towards a 50 Mana/ 28 Light Eld. All the utility, CC, and debuffs would be very nice and the PB could be pretty fun in a chaotic zerg battle
But, keep the opinions comming. It's interesting to hear from some experienced players.
