The aoc servers are still packed with people and new players alike. And its july 14th. So wheres the people that says aoc is all doom and gloom?
Lol, subscribe then checkm out the servers yourself before you go around spewing out doom and gloom just because you already canceled idiots.
Server merge my ass.
Look at warhammer they are cutting out capital cities 4 of them and the end game of warhamer is capturing capital cities. There is a reason why many guilds are flocking to aoc and not warhammer beta. God i hate idiots who thinks aoc is doomed. Seriously get over yourselves. By the way WHY did you think they are doing the guild beta thing? My guild left way before they annouced the guild beta annoucement, there is a reason for that. Warhammer is not all godlike that you warhammer fans want it turn out to be.

I agree with you, but posting like this is just gonna stir up those haters, not to mention it's unmature to set here and bash people for a game that hasn't come out yet. Yes I still play AoC, and love it but there's a fine line between ranting/civil conversations.

You do know that Funcom removed the search option and changed the codes so the servers are shown at medium load minimum from 12 pm to 12 am ?
Oh - You didn't ?
Well - you can always look at this chart to cheer you up. Only shows Funcom stocks falling 25% in last week.

Probably cause the servers are full of ppl !!!
I bet you know all about the game with your 84 hours of AOC played....
Maybe you should ask some of the ppl that did over 400 hours + in closed beta and have quit what this game is all about...
QFT.
There really isn't any other way to slice it, AoC can't be doing well if stocks are freefalling. Any "successful" mmo wouldn't have their companies stock tank like funcom's is currently.
So something is got to be going on, and I get a strong feeling that given a couple of months, the PR team at funcom won't have jobs anymore and we will all get to see what a shamble the game really is in.
I hoped AoC would be a decent MMO, as i'm sure alot of folks did, but sadly, stocks really don't lie.
Oh come on, i almost vomited when I noticed that you're flaming Warhammer in all of the sudden. Well, your post points out nothing that you're a complete fanboy, childishly defending your game. Can't accept the truth can you?

lol your bashing warhammer and praising AoC and your name is "warhammerr"
First off, im not going to subscribe to check the server status.
Second, AoC is doomed when the next best thing comes out, because, AoC sucks all around. Little to no content, bugged to hell, features not implemented, its instanced like phantasy star online..
Biggest problem with AoC... Its boring

You may want to rethink your forum name since your bashing WAR now. It looks ...well...weird.
People who have to create conspiracy and hate threads to further a cause lacks in intellectual comprehension of diversity.
To the OP
Erm if you're a viral marketer you really need to get another job. It looks like it with active rebuttal, switching a game argument into a crit on another game, using a lead name to redirect etc. All standard tools but your post is so badly written it goes beyond creating the impression of a fanboi. if you're just a fan, which I doubt, then I really hope English is your second or third language.
Funcom's in for a bumpy ride as the game is way buggy and content light post 40 but if the patches keep improving things and they let their mods speak there's plenty of hope.
Funcom made the right decision, in my opinion, in electing to launch official forums but seven weeks later there is no reasonable explanation for the virtually complete absence of mod contribution other than they've been gagged. Blizz posts way more and they don't need to. They've got millions repeat subscribing. This is the complete antithesis to the purpose of having official forums. They are meant to be a moderated central source of information and discussion with an active contribution from the game development team, it's management, its GM and its customer service people. Not just its players.
I like the game, have not cancelled my subscription and will continue to play it once the patches continue to appear to address core issues. but I come out to forums like this when I get annoyed by game bugs and take a break from playing... so much for immersion.
I'm not surprised at the fall in share price as significant shareholders are privvy to the cancellation figures and they are clearly not happy. Sales aren't the complete picture with an MMO as they alone won't neccessarily repay a four year development cycle. It's the 6 month and the 12 month subscription figures that make or break a game. Just look at HG:L. It would have made everybody rich if they'd focussed on a diabloesque FPS but a couple of the more generous founders ended up digging out of their own pockets to pay the last month's salaries of this failed MMO (kudos to them by the way) that was released bugged.
The post on the website was a nice start but if they really want to keep players they need to be explaining on the forums what they're working on and in what order. They've sensibly got stickied issues lists pretty much everywhere. i would not be surprised to see this game miss the break point(s) that the mythic release and blizz expansion will cause if the players have a relationship with the devs. But, just as in RL, relationships are based on trust and Funcom have a lot of work to put in to develop this. This is a significant, but not irrepairable, fail. However it does not have to remain that way.
I won't be contributing here again as this is a thread that deserves to die.
A week ago when you could still check server populations it was still dropping 10% per week primetime. Over the past 4 weeks the prime time population of my main server dropped from 2800 players to 1800 players, that is a pretty significant drop.
There are servers that never break 500 users at any time of day. Bardisvatta is one of them. Most of the servers that were released after EA are underpopulated. There most certainly will be server mergers at some point.
