I used to play UO years ago and have decided to start playing again. I live in Australia. Is there an Australian server/Guild who is looking for a new memeber?

There is an Oceania shard, but it is very low populated.

You might check out stratics forums and there the oceania servers

Best is to get a trial and see, just remember you need a credit card to open it, but you will not get charged if you cancel it before the end of the trial.

I am in Aus as well playing UO until something big but not WoW to be released, and for some reason UO depends on ping very heavily, say I can live with 300 ping in WoW but I cannot accept the performance with 160 ping in UO at all.

I have tested with UOKR client (for some reason higher ping than old 2D client), Oceania ~65 ping, Japanese shards ~160 ping, US shards ~200-300 ping.

So if you want to play, Oceania is almost your only choice, yet it is really low populated.

In fact only Altantic, the highest populated US shard is the only server I can see still having like 20 players around Britian bank all the time (the old centre, now people gather at Luna bank).

Ahh yes now i remember. Oceania server.

WTF have they done with this game? Elves, paladins, ninjas?!

Well ill still give it a try. What time do you aussies play? I would like to meet up with you and learn the new system.
