SOE I hate you and I hope you die for what you did to SWG.
If LA is doing another Star Wars MMO and it has an SOE logo on it, I can't say I won't try it, but I don't have alot of hopes for it and will not invest my emotions into it because I'm afraid of having my heart ripped out and pissed on again.

Well done!
I've never played SWG and I've never had my heart ripped out and pissed on.
But I hear it sucks
What SOE did to SWG was like taking an Arcade and turning it into a bingo parlor.
Agreed. If there's an SOE tag, I'll probably sit the first few months out till the verdicts in.
I really want to make a t-shirt that says "SOE: Working as intended..."
Put me down for an XL when you do.
Oh it's $15?
Well hell, I did that three times a month back pre-CU so it's money well spent today!!! (three accounts DEAD AND BURIED!)
Ever wonder if they miss our money?
It's obvious they don't need it that much.
i wouldn't even lable the nge as a game
pre-cu was a world
cu was a game
nge i would rather be put in prison with a guy named bubba then play the nge
I have to agree.
SWG pre-CU was imo the only true MMORPG there was. The freedom to be whatever you wanted and do whatever you wanted. I truly lived the greatest saga ever told, MINE.
SOE traded me for a customer that wasnt there.
In fact SOE has treated my MMO addiction. I dont play any MMO's atm, in fact i dont play any games at all these days. Becouse I compare all games now to SWG pre-CU. Nothing comes even close...
Hauken Stormchaser
I want pre-CU back
Station.com : We got your game
Yeah?, Well i want it back!!!
HA! Me too! I compare all games with SWG Pre-CU. I even compare them with SWG CU. I have tried multiple MMO's and nothing has compared. The closest was LOTRO because I am addicted to LOTR.
Once again, the only hope we have right now is something being produced that we are not allowed to discuss here!
Ha me to I always find myself quitting after a couple of months because it just lacks something It doesnt have to a Pre-CU clone however it does have to show a bit of innovation and not being a WOW clone.
Keeping my eye on Aion, Stargate, W.E.L.L online, Earthrise and Global Agenda and hoping one of those might become my new home.
My pointless reply:
/agree about refusing to play any possible SOE run Star Wars game at this point.
When I dole out an assignment that is a surefire success and the person assigned to it fails (and in SOE's case - repeatedly) - I make damn sure that they don't get another chance. Mind boggling, really. They could have made SWG a flash based greeting card game and it still could have been one of the top mmo's.

here here!!!! All GREAT posts...
and I totally do the same....EVERY MMO i've touched I compare to pre-cu...and NOTHING out there even touches what we had....and thanx to soe, everything is a wow clone now....
It's like the OLD days of computer purchasing.... the saleman would say "This computer is 100% IBM compatible!" ...and the person buying would say... well why don't I just buy an IBM then if eveything is trying to fit Ibm's design. ....wow is the "fantasy" standard apparently..... guess what mmo makers...there is a market out there other than wow....i know it's hard to see past all that $$$ on those pretty pie graphs...but I promise if you'll get over your wow-frenzy'd greed, you could make money...honest.
/sigh

HA! Me too! I compare all games with SWG Pre-CU. I even compare them with SWG CU.
I too compare all MMORPGs against SWG in all iterations.
Pre-CU - No game came close to it. Pre-CU was far more fun and worth my money every month (indefinetly as far as I was concerned).
CU - Still fun, pops took a hit, but I still enjoyed it. No game could replace it at the time. Nothing could beat it. I could dabble in other games, but none could shake my commitment to SWG.
NGE - Every other game out there all of a sudden seemed to have taken a huge leap in fun and polish. The community was banished, and I with them.
Conclusion - No game to this day compares to Pre-CU (and likely never will again).
