looks pretty good, definitely worth a try when it comes out.
I'm usually too intrigued by the idea of an MMOFPS (If I wanted to play an FPS, I'd play an FPS, not an MMO) But I have to admit that the game play seemed very interesting. I MIGHT give it a shot, but only if a free trial is offered. I've spent so much money on MMO's, I want to make sure that whatever MMO I buy next I actually test out and make sure that I really do like it before buying
If they are going to make it a 3rd person shooter, they should at least give the option of going fps.
If its auto target crap they can keep it though.....

OK then, that looks really good....much better than Tabula Rasa! I like the more RPG depth the devs are going for!
That looks really nice. It seemed really smooth from that video, and I really like the art style the devs were shooting for.
I haven't watched Stargate Worlds, but after watching that video I may try to jump into the series. Not sure if it is really for me though.
I am going to be keeping an eye on this game, though.

Nice! I was busy and missed the X-Play on G4, so I didn't know they show the footage... I like it.
I am a fan of the TV series, and from the footage I think it will be a very interesting game.
Going to pay more attention to it now...

wow i am surprised at how much like tabula rasa it looks. I mean if someone told me that tabula rasa added some new areas and showed me that video, it would almost be believable.
Both TR and SGW are using the UR3 engine. That's a big reason why they look alike.
A big reason they look alike is because from whet that video shows, they are just continual run and gun. I seen no to very little grouping, no real social aspect to it. It looks like a pretty Counterstrike, just in 3rd person. I just can't see there being any real "rpg" elements to the game from what they show in that video.

I never personally played Tabula Rasa, but my friend did. I watched him play it several times and this does look very similar to that. He really liked TR, but thought that they had some basic gameplay problems that probably won't be an issue in SGW. At least I hope.
Hmmmmm, looks to me they've gone for a design that allows them to do Pc, Xbox360 and PS3.

You're right that those things aren't shown in the video, but then again CME can't really control how the X-Play folks cut their segment, or what the X-Play people want to talk about .
That quick segment on the show is like the hot chick you can see when you look through the coffee shop window. Eye candy. You'll never know anything much about her at all unless you go and talk to her. Stop by the SGW forums and check things out, read the dev tracker, go to the wiki site. It'll only take a few minutes for you to realize that what you're looking for is going to be there in spades, and this ain't going to be no TR clone.
Hey the game looks great so far! Not particularly fond of the animations though, it looks like the characters are floating more than running across the surfaces. Well done animations are key in any game.
I don't mind some hybrid of MMO and FPS or third person shooter - but anything like SWG:NGE or Tabula Rasa would be a no go.

I think the video confirms it for me. It has really good graphics and all I need to know now is the combat system. As long as its decent im sure the game will be great.
Woah! I must admit that I'm both positively surprised and in awe of the quality of the trailer they've put out. I was not very keen on this title before, but now my opinion has changed.
It seems like we might finally be getting a worth-to-play MMOFPS.
I just saw the video and its awsome i think. I love the fact that they state that they are going for the RPG combat system instead of a FPS. FPS has no room in a MMORPG imo. It just dont work very well with thousands of players.
