If you do some reading yes you will discover there will be no real grind just alot of quests and pvp.

Beta players could only play to lvl 20 so far so I dont think they could meet any kind of grinding so far.

the link says players can levle at max by doing quest or vice versa kill mobs... something like that.

question: will quest give more exp than mindlessly killing mobs? i hope so.

They are trying to give both the same value. Making quests better than killing mobs would create a linear path. Refer to Ken Choi's interviews (search Ken choi Aion in youtube) for this info.

I hate linear quest driven games, give me more grinding. Combat experience is where it's at. Combat experience games lead to more grouping, longer grouping, more socialization. That's what MMOGs are supposed to be about.

    FFXI is perfect for you.

I agree 100% If this another quest driven game like WoW it will be garbage imo.

This will be a quest driven game because that is what is missing in L2.

For those that want a long xp curve with a long grind against mobs with little to no quests then L2 is the game for you.  NCSOFT is trying to provide options (which Blizzard excels at).

Well the big plus about Aion is that the quests aren't simply 'Retrieve xx Items from said monster and return it to NPC xx.' or conversation-travel quests.

Every MMO has a said amount of grind, Aion just has significantly less than Lineage, and FFXI.

In the beta, I've spent most of my time instead of simply trying to progress to the next level, but explore environments and brush up on my Korean.
