Having not followed the press releases or hype at all, and only seeing a few screens, a few videos, and reading posts, you could say i really wasnt a true WAR-head (lol i liked that). I just read the news that they were cutting 4 classes out of the original release and i saw that all the classes seemed pretty original, not the usual pally/war/ranger/rogue classes. I then thought, if they cut these out, we would be stuck with the typical classes and nothing original!
I did a little research on the game, not really research since its all on the website, and looked at the classes that ARE going to be released. I was pleasantly surprised. The classes in the game look very amazing and different. Thats one thing that i love in an MMO, the character creating, and i always wanna try a new and different class. I saw the Archmage type class, the shaman, but one that stood out was the Empire Witch Hunter. To me, thats something that i have never seen before and im really exited to play..It seems so new and different, i mean a witch hunter? Think about being van helsing!! Also, the white lion stood out, only because the name didnt really tell you what they did. I soon found out it was a basic hunter class type, but i will also try out that because, again, its something new besides the palladins, the warriors, the mages.
Having been "yeah ill play the game", after seeing the classes, im all for it. i have changed my tune to "YEAH ILL PLAY THE GAME!!!!!!"

Your standards are pretty low.
Go watch the Gears of War 2 trailer and then go watch the Warhammer Online's one lol........ pretty hard to not throw up at Warhammer Online.

Talking about SWG much?
You either know very little about MMOs or very little about games in general. Gears of War is a standard single to multiplayer game. Its meant to play a certain way and only in a certain way. Its design and limitation of players & items on screen make it so designers and programers can add more fancy polygons and magical tricks.
MMOs on the other hand need to have hundreds and hundreds of players be able to be in the same area without a whole lot of chaos & lag (see AoC for their issues and why people get pissed off at instancing). MMOs will always be graphically behind due to server / client limitations. If you ahve a problem with this JustBe perhaps MMOs are not for you so perhaps your trolling here on mmorpg.com should end because otherwise frankly your crusade is just silly and makes no logical sense.
I think Everquest2, Vanguard, and AoC both proved why its a bad idea to mix top of the line graphics with MMOs. It takes out the "massive multiplayer" part to the game because A, most players don't meet the requirements (except the hardesst of the hardcore and to be honest there's NOT that many of them) & B. obviously in AoC's case its own servers don't meet the requirements & C. players absolutely HATE HATE HATE open areas being Instanced off like AoC & EQ2 did in order to make up for the server / client limitations due to the extreme graphical processing.
btw...im not back permantly i just saw this post n couldn't help myself...mmorpg.com can screw itself as far as I care. (waits for ban or warning).
Please Refer to Doom Cat with all conspiracies & evil corporation complaints. He'll give you the simple explination of..WE"RE ALL DOOMED!
I plan on playing a Witch Hunter as well. The hats are just too cool to pass up.
The classes are alright, presented in lovely shells, but at the core there's really nothing too original, at least from what I've seen/read. You have your tanks, mages, healers, etc. Not saying there's anything wrong with that, but there's nothing really original like a "goblin battle chef" who cooks for the team and uses his butcher knives as weapons. xD
Waiting for Fallen Earth, World of Darkness, Old Republic, FFXIV
You're right: graphics are everything, the OP was very concerned with graphics, the warhammer trailer is the current build with lighting system in place, and MMORPGs are the same as FPS.
You're an idiot. Hate to inform you, but GoW 2 is not a MMORPG. LOL newbie......
For your info most video of WAR are from the beta test, meaning that they are LOW on the graphic setting most beta are like that, the retail version should be a bit more polished.
Oh and by the way graphic are not everything, WAR as RvR battle up to 70 players, try to have Gears of War graphic over that and it be a total mess, but im sure you already knew that right?
Funny thing is most people complain about graphic and when a game comes out that pushes the envelope everyone complains that they can't run the game on there PC, life funny aint it?

This is probably among the stupidest comments I have ever heard on any forum...
