No more:

- Re-rolling 10 different characters to experience all the classes' skills and abilities.

- Wishing your class had somewhat similar skills and abilities as your buddy.

- Complaining about class balance and waiting for patches to come out just to fix it.

- Regretting your class decisions and tactics just because you got pwned in the face again and again.

- Auto attack, skill mashing, and heat-seeking spells.

- Instanced crap and small rinky-dink zones/lands.

- Comparing what one game has that the one you're playing doesn't.

- World of Warcraft.

That is exactly why Darkfall has such a dedicated following. We've all been there and we all hate that crap so much that Darkfall is like the Messiah  of mmorpg's.

    All praise Darkfall!

If it releases it releases. If it doesn't then there's always Fallen Earth/Spore/Fallout 3/etc.

I agree with the OP. The reasons to play a MMO such as DF outnumbers the vaporware rumors many times over.

And for me that dont play level/clas based MMOs...i really need such a game soon.

Aye, we will finally be able play the style (class) we really want and not have to worry about being underpowered by a class in which we have no interest. Bye bye QQing

Talemire, exactly what leads you to believe those problems will just vanish?  Some of the things you mentioned, are things that are inherent to the genre.  Others are things that "you" have a problem with.  Yet still there are some that just plain don't make sense either.

    In War - Victory.
    In Peace - Vigilance.
    In Death - Sacrifice.

Actually I beg to differ. I've been playing MMORPGs for a while and in every game I see the same arguments and complaints. It's not just me, however, it's not all the time either. What leads me to state these points lies in the game mechanics the makers of Darkfall (don't know the company name off the top of my head) are pressing. Check out the game's features, it'll make sense.

The point I'm trying to make is this.  Darkfall as best as we all know is a collection what most would call "the best pvp features from all previous MMO's".  Which sounds great in theory, but at the same time.  Wouldn't that mean that you are bringing the problems inherent with that chosen PvP feature along with it?  I admit I only read the DF forums maybe 4 times out of a month.(And I usually don't get through all the post)  I do not recall any responses explaining how DF will tackle the problems associate with each feature.

Just to name a few of the more common ones I've seen in every PvP game I've played since M59 and UO:

    Buff Bots

    Bunny Hopping

    Terrain Glitching

    Speed/Movment Hacks

    FOTM Templates

    Common skills vs Uncommon Skills

    In War - Victory.
    In Peace - Vigilance.
    In Death - Sacrifice.

    Worry not, you're not.

    In Eve:

You have to roll several (a lot) characters, and then wait (a lot), in order to experience all skills.

There's always complaining about ship (and in extension, skill) balance until they get nerfed or buffed next patch.

You will eventually regret some skill decisions or or maybe some attribute decisions, unless you're a veteran in which case you already did the regretting, and you can't do a thing about it, just live with it.

The combat is the very definition of auto attack and heat-seeking abilities and projectiles.

There's the equivalent of instanced crap in the form of deadspace missions.

World of Warcraft is still around. If it's meant to be "No more WoW for me"  then that's always been a choice.

Well for one thing they have officially promised beta "this year" for four years in a row. The claim to have a full game ready but never grab a video to show a working engine. They promise all the "right stuff" to hardcore gamers like full loot etc, but is not able to really show how all these things would work together.
Darkfall promises a large world, boats, a complex game system and more stuff than any other mmo. Do you belive their team can handle it? Where do they get the money to develop something for so many years?
If they had been developing for that many years they would be very eager to show videos, screenshots, get previews in magazines and to show of the game engine to attract people; because they would really need money by now.
There is no full time team developing this game. All logic goes to show that this is a hoax or pet project driven too far. It belong in a fan art section or user developed games.
One thing that makes me angry (even though I am against AoC) is that mmorpg.com gives them a platform and they abuse it to make attacks (before AoC launched) on AoC. Read their "updates".
I know people with a working 3d engine who could make a better lie than Darkfall. Why people still fall for it is beyond me.
They have lost their bragging rights after many a time not giving people what they promised. Now they promise a beta this year, but where is it? Where is the one they promised last year or the year before?
I think Darkfall gives a bad name to mmo developers (like Funcom does with their released mmo). So in my opinion mmorpg.com shouldn't support this game any more. I wouldn't miss it if it was removed from here. How many decades will it be allowed to be in the "under development" section?
Also consider how they have "updated" their graphics engine? An mmo under serious development would change that much as they have. It means they have to restart a lot of the development. How can such a small team accomplish that? And now they claim they just polish the game? If they really had such a super game just in need of polish, they would do anything to get attention, show screenies and videos and get magazine previews. Think of the millions of $ they could make if their claims were true and they marketed the game right.
Nothing points to a real game. Everything points to a hoax. My personal thought is that this is 1-3 guys who dream of making an mmo and who fiddle a little with it sometime, but dont have a real game, but just some demos. Probably they hope to get enough attention for someone to invest in them. They probably have other day time jobs.

edit: also what happened with the magazine reviews they promised? Another lie they got away with..

Darkfall IS going to go gold and IS going to make a blast in the industry , whether some people like it or not.

Nobody took any  euro from my pocket while i wait for Darkfall to launch while other companies have extracted several and didnt deliver. So yeah, i prefer waiting rather than getting "robbed".

based on what?  A few shitty outdated looking Alpha videos with little to no gameplay in them after 7 years of work?

Blind faith assumptions are for idiots. Don't be an idiot.

Tasos is a liar and manipulator plain and simple. He lies about everything. He got caught blatently lying about his past work history in that latest Gameworld Greece website interview.

Razorwax went bankrupt in 2006 and were involved in illegal shareholder activity on two seperate occasions noted by an official auditor. And Razorwax was run and owned by the very same people who now run Aventurine including Tasos.

Darkfall will not be anything except a big load of junk just like Dark and Light was. Watch and see.
