- lvl 1 to 10
Your racial starting city **post GU6 1-10 on trial island will result in a better starting gear set**
-lvl 11 - 20
Hunter's League questline and periferal quests in the Skrillian Point area on Qalia.
results: orange armor and weapon
-lvl 20 - 30
Trengal Keep
results: blue to orange armor, quest and drop dependent, orange cloak
benefits: easiest place to find a group in game, very fast xp. Most of your group will probably know the quest backwards and forwards
- lvl 30 - 40
Two Places:
1. Wardship of the Sleeping Moon quest line (involving dungeons of Vol Tuniel and Theleseen)
results: orange armor
benefits: the TK of your 30s - easiest spot to group, fast xp blah blah blah
NOTE: be sure to get your 'learned' ability if your class has one here
downside: you may actually outlevel the zones before getting your orange armor, some have found they had to take the 'no xp' power from their trainer - I however, have finished it in lvl range and completed:
2. Dargun's Tomb
results: orange weapon
benefits: one of the coolest final events in game, one of the most underutilized dungeons - so bragging rights basically, everyone in group is stoked at zones 'cool' factor
downside: hard to get a group together, I spent time putting groups together, no one has heard of it - once they're in though, they are usually hooked, - be prepared to have a quest write-up right up by your side, because you won't likely have group members who know quest
-lvl 40 - 45
Graystone: as many of the quest lines as you can in those four lvls
benefits: too many to name, research it
NOTE: make sure to pick up your 'learned' ability if your class gets one here or more likely, your spell drop
downside: you may not finish everything here before 45, but I managed to - but if you want the fast way to 50 + gear, come back to it later
-45 - 50
Swamp Armor on Thestra
benefits: worthy armor to start raiding with (or just be uber with if you aren't into raiding). This questline has recently become so easy that over one weekend we got a lvl 46 war in the gear his full set. It used to take ages of repetitive faction grinding meant to slow down your progress to help not notice lack of content and endgame. They have recently adjusted drops and faction due to increases in content/endgame.
There are also very nice named events including but not limited to Hegnarian in this questline.
NOTE: research this one, its a complicated one to manage faction wise with your groups/guilds.
NOTE2: You will likely still not be 50 by the time you finish swamp armor if you are efficient. If you still have some lvling, never fear! You also should:
A. Rahz Inkur - for the red headpiece if nothing else (learned abilities here as well)
B. Temple of Tetmoegyptianfantasyname: Go for the jewelry, stay for the temple flips.
_____________________________________
With this very abreviated, meant to be researched, horribly spelt and unedited guide: you will be lvl 50 and ready to raid.
Be persistant. Put your groups together. Send /tells to that cleric your lvl who is standing in a city obviously not adventuring, and not lfg. Don't wait for the group to find you. There are 25 other people your level sitting around waiting for the same thing.

Just out of curiosity, why would one want to "level fast" in VG? There is a hurry to get to level cap because....
(this is a polite inquiry not an attack)
Yeah, that's what I was wondering.
Leveling fast isn't fun, it's a hassle..I prefer going at my own pace.

You left a lot of shit out here.
30-35 craigwind = red uber weapon? this weapon reward is one of the best in the game.
32-35 River valley= hunters league armor.
Arena rewards..
Tar jeneshar...rewards
These are just some you left out .
Also at lvl 22 something you will probably want to start doing CiS to get the red weapon from the Ageless One.
Good shout..orange items and red weapon rewards. You can tell the OP has spent most of his time on thestra. TK imo is naff compared to cis rewards.
Yea you get some nice stuff from CiS later stages. It's boring as hell tho so be warned :P
I'm guessing as the OP actually compiled this list, he himself is interested in fast levelling.
Some people like levelling fast and making numerous alts. Raiding at endgames etc etc.
Admitadly there isn't much in the way of endgames just yet, but there will be , then I'm sure many will use this guide
----------------
Hello!
With my first toon, I took my sweet time and enjoyed many of the quest lines and low to mid level dungeons. It probably took me 6-7 months to hit 50. I rolled another alt that I wanted raid-ready to help out my guild ASAP and leveled as fast as I could going from quest-line to quest line. Took 2 months.
A bunch of reasons I can think of:
Some like to level fast - their sense of accomplishment comes from winning 'races'
Some like raiding more than single group or solo
In my case, my friends and I wanted to round out some raiding options by having different toons geared and ready for raid. Our guild was short some active healers and tanks, so we leveled up some alts so we'd have more class options for raiding - I went slow through the content with my main.
why would you want to there is no end game
Good shout..orange items and red weapon rewards. You can tell the OP has spent most of his time on thestra. TK imo is naff compared to cis rewards.
I considered putting CiS in there, but it didn't fit my model - I went for the ability to easily find group and get xp in TK rather than the material awards in CiS. Its a little (not much) but a little harder to find the group you need for CiS. And although you do get things like a red weapon, those rewards can be skipped if you are looking for a quick route to the end.
This isn't suppose to be 'the best' way, just 'one of many ways' to reach 50 with raidable gear.
I left out Cragwind and River Valley because it's relatively impossible to do Cragwind, Wardship, Dargun's and River Valley within level. To do them all you are either going to be taking 'no xp' ability or fighting one of those after you've outleveled the questline.
I have done Cragwind and River Valley instead of Wardship armor, which is actually my preferred route, however, since this was going to be a quick guide, I went with the ease of finding groups for Wardship.
This was not suppose to be a list of EVERYTHING or even of the most common quest lines; adding the quests you mentioned wouldn't make this a guide to 'quick leveling' but rather a guide to most available questlines.
And btw: River Valley = Bounty Hunter's armor; I actually did mention Hunter's League =p
In addition: what's with the tone? I said 'quick guide' and even said at the end that it was ''With this very abreviated, meant to be researched, horribly spelt and unedited guide: you will be lvl 50 and ready to raid".
You decided that 'I left shit out' and 'these are just some of what you left out' proving you obviously didn't read and/or comprehend the post title or understand what abbreviated, unedited and meant to be reasearched guide' meant.
I'm all for people adding their ideas and adventure routes to this thread, that was the point, but only on mmorpg would people try to make you feel bad while doing it, and find flaws for attempting to be helpful.
Really, so could you list all the guilds that have finished ALL the APW content please?
Oh no? Because you can't. How long has APW been out? Months and months, and still the content hasn't been fully explored.
It's best to know at least a little something about the subject before professing your expertise.
1 raid does not count for end game content.
I played VG from 3 day pre launch until they bastardised the Ranger, so I have experience of it.
.......?
There isn't only one raid content...wth? The whole APW is a big dam big raid dungeon, there is raid content OUTSIDE, there are quests to be completed outside (with raid content)
RAID isn't everything...you can reach lvl 50 and then work on any other sphere, you can try making your own home or your ship, you can try getting your faction flying mount....and I can go on and on.
THERE IS END GAME CONTENT.
Well, Ancient Port Warehouse is massive, with 5 huge wings and more than 20 major raid encounters and 15 or so mini-bosses. Hell, APW alone is probably bigger than some MMORGs out there. We aren't hardcore, and have spent many, many fun weeks exploring and progressing. In addition, there are 5 of so separate overland raid encounters. Outside of raiding there are a number of end-game type content quests including the most challenging... the flying mount quest.
Rangers bastardized? Should give your ranger awhirl again, quite powerful with wicked DPS.

Solo and small group (outdoor) quests are far more efficient for leveling than dungeon crawling. The only gear that matters is lvl 45+ gear.
What happened you liked ranger less than a month ago?

Ok -
Let's get one VG thread right for once.
I meant this to be a thread where people exchanged ideas on quick lvling routes they had taken through VG. A reference for folks.
Please let it stay on topic.
Please if you want to discuss whether or not VG has an end game or whether or not they borked Rangers, start a thread.
If we put forth an effort, we can actually have a productive forum.
Or you could prove you are all malcontents and bitch, thus making this a archetypical mmorpg thread and furthering my resolve to stop using it as any sort of reference or forum to communicate with fellow gamers in a positive manner.
People bitch about communities in games.
The worst by far is the community here.
I agree. Different people have different approaches on games and if one want to take the fast level route, he will have reasons for it as the OP does obviously. On top APW is very rich content and needs quite some time to finish. So yes, the game has one raid zone, but it's rich in content. And yes, therefore the game has endgame content.
On topic: With the free month I started a new toon myself, coming back from a very long break. I did the HL and I would say to finish it including the weapon you ill need a very good group of lvl 20s to do so. It is not easy at late teens, early 20s I would say. Therefore I would put the HL rather in the range of 15-24. 10-20 seems a bit too early, especially a level 10 would have no dice there I guess. I duoed everything but the weapon quest with a bard friend, myself being a cleric. We did it around lvl 22-23 iirc. The weapon quest seems harsh though if you are lvl 20 (untwinked of ocurse, how it should be), fighting lvl 25 4dots.
