Thats because honestly most people don t care as long as the game is better because of it. It s usually the minority flocking these boards whining just to be heard.

E3 typically is not where companies show off already released things. It is a vehicle for showing off, in a convention like setting, what different companies and devs have coming out soonish to the press and to retail people. Sometimes some recently released games will get a little bit of space but for the most part its the up and coming. So to win an award at E3 basically means that of the stuff shown in it's category it was better/more polished/what have you than the competition.
Gratz Mythic and the reason they won while it is still in development is because it got so much great feedback from the demo and all the new things they are adding. Ah...can't wait for it! CAN"T WAIT!

I'm actually really surprised that they won. Don't get me wrong, I've been waiting for WAR for a long time, but from what I saw they didn't exactly have a lot to woo the crowd at E3...

This is not entire true. At most conventions WAR was far superior. The only time that Age of Conan was better was at the Leipzig Games Convention in Germany and even there the game client crash twice. However they showed us a working instance and a single dungeon. Here is a list with all the awards that Mythic E have gotten over the past 2 years.

back to topic seems as if WAR beat out some pretty hyped up games such as Spore, Fallout 3 and DA so color me impressed and that is a first for me with WAR. I was not following this game at all until AoC turned out to be such a steaming heap.
Now lets see what happens at PAX and in Indianpolis next month.
To be perfectly honest E3 is everything the corporations want you to know. For example for a long time now at e3 SE claimed FFXIII was exclusive. E3 is just a way for corps to show off, don't believe thier crap until you see it first hand.

you just dont want to beleave final fantasy 7 is coming out for xbox 360 and 360 seems to be coming strong to bad ps3 fanboy lol i like both systems they both coming strong .so what if it muitplatform they gain more money from both systems dont matter to me

I would have been happy with either SPORE or WAR coming out the winner, as they both are good enough to deserve it.
