I was recommended this game by the people in the LFGame section, and I'd like to ask a few questions about the game.
1) How well will the game run on these specs:
2) The death system, I've heard a lot of bad things about it, and in multiple reviews I have read have said something different.
3) The community... The reason I keep quiting WoW is because of all the jerks, Are the people nicer? Are they willing to help each other out and be friendly? That's about it for now.
4) Are there any actual own-able flying mounts?
Might ask some more later.
Thanks in advance.

1) I run the game on:
I am only able to run the game on Medium-ish settings but it isn't that big of a deal. You just need to really go into the settinings and mess with them till you find the perfect settings for your computer.
2) The death system is not a big deal at all. You get all your items and most of your XP back if you go back and get your body.
3) Community is great, not many jerks at all. Everyone was very helpful and kind.
4) Yes, you can do a long quest chain to get your own Flying Mount.
The death isn't such a big deal? "You just have to go get your body", If I get killed by a super hard monster... I'll have to face him and all the monsters before him less geared and prepared than before I died. It'll add a bit of challenge to the game, But I also heard you could make items bind to you.. Is this possible and is it easy?
Pretty much all of the gear that you will wear will get "Bound" to you the first time you put it on. That means that when you die, you will go tp an Altar where dead people respawn at. At the altar you will then see that you are wearing all of your gear. The stuff that will be on your tombstone will be mostly VendorLoot that you get from killing mobs. Now, when you are at the altar, you have a chance to run back to you tombstone to loot the rest of your gear and get back about 85% of your exp, or you can wait for a healer to rez you, or you can just summon your tombstone to you ate the altar. If you do decide to summon your tombstone to you at the altar then you wont get back any exp from it and it will take you about another 30 minutes of killing to get back the exp that you lost from dying. Alot of times, I consider how long it will take me to get back to the place where I died and if I think it will take me about 30+ minutes to get it, then I just summon my corpse and just work on getting my exp back from killing mobs for the next 30 minutes.
If people have been scaring you about Vanguards "Harsh" death penality then you dont need to be listening to those folks because they either have never played Vanguard or have not played Vanguard in awhile.
Also, there is no death penality at all until you get to level 7 and even then, that is wil be changed to lvl 11 next month.
So, basically, if you die and get a rez and you run back to get your tombstone, you will need to kill about 5 or 6 mobs to get your exp back. If you summon your corpse then you are looking at killing mobs for about 30 minutes to get all of your exp back.
Hope this clarifies things a bit.
Thank you very much, you've cleared it up a lot for me.
Though the question's been answered, I have to chime in and say that I had a couple of pretty cool experiences with random folks on Xeth tonight. One went out of their way to help me complete a quest, and the other was quite helpful with information about crafting.
So far they're helpful folks, but I'm sure that I'll run into a butt head at some point.
