Game Without Down Time

Any swords and sorcery games which are skill-based and soloable during group down-time.
I am looking for a game where I can have fun even if everyone else in the world decides to disable their internet connection. I wouldn't mind waiting 2 hours to find a group if I had content which was soloable.
If the game has raid content then it is exceeding my expectations, and the same goes with live events.
I am so sick of mmorpg games which think that their paying clients are asking too much to find a group in a reasonable amount of time.
If the game has all the above plus unique character progression(unique end-game character statistics; zerg build), like choosing focus progression within classes, then I have found my dream game.

Vanguard IS your game. All you asked can be found in Vanguard, and much more. The game will launch a Trial Island (and a character models revamp to make them more beautifull) at the 14 th August more or less, you could wait till then or ask for a buddy key in the forums, you will get one soon. Get info about the game and you will see how it fits to what you ask. You can solo everything till max level if you want, though it will take more time, and grouping is much more fun .
Sounds like any of your P2P MMORPGs really... WoW,EQ,EQII,Vanguard etc would nearly all fit what you said.

Ty for the suggestion. I will check out Vanguard. I have played EQ(which is also from Sony). Are the two games similar? EQ wasn't soloable, I know that much.
Oh my bad, I thought it was? Or did they just add it with the next updates and such?
