EverQuest II: Announcement on EU Servers

AdminAdmin Administrator RarePosts: 5,623

SOE has released a statement regarding players in Europe and what servers they will be allowed to use.  Here is the statement:

Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) would like to reiterate that (as announced in the European Beta press release dated 9/7/04), players in Europe will be able to play on any of SOE's EverQuest II servers, including those servers based North America (and vice versa). There will be no server lock-outs based on location. European and North American players will be able to play with their friends on the server of their choice.

SOE's goal is to provide a high level of service worldwide. At launch, there will be English, French and German servers, each localized in the corresponding language. SOE is taking the time and expense to make sure that French and German speakers have the same quality of gameplay that English speakers will.

They are talking about EQ2 Servers with the English, France and German LANGUAGE.

    Don't mix up a language with a country ;-)

wtf has politics to do with this thread, this is an international game (and sony is japanese anyway), its about making money in the gaming industry and delivering a service to your customers around the world, wtf cares what the rulers of a country do or dont do and dont blame the citizins for actions their country takes.

Now that post is what I call a piece of cataclysmic stupidity. Please remember that EQ2 is a game, and that neo-racism (because what you say is exactly that, just plain hate for those who are different from you) does not belong in a forum for gamers. Please, go and vomit your hate somewhere else. Thank you.

    History lesson:

    1. 583, 400 Americans served in the gulf war.

    2. In the three week Gulf War, only 467 GIs were reported as *wounded*. Not dead. wounded

    3. Of those gulf war GIs, 11,000 have already died and 400,000 are on permanent medical disability. Cases are rising by a massive 43,000 per year.

    4. I'll do the math for you. That's 70% of the men and women who served in the Gulf War now have medical problems.

    5. You used depleted uranium bombs in that war, which are basically nuclear bombs without mushroom clouds. Those are illegal weapons of mass destruction by the way.

    6. These soldiers who are currently dying literally have no support from your country and an all out ignorance with regards to the general populace.

You should be screaming at the top of your lungs with regards to this issue but you'd rather sweep these poor people under the rug.

If this is the treatment you give your OWN soldiers, I fail to understand why you think other countries should risk helping you do anything.

I'm Canadian. We supported you in Afghanistan and frankly, even if only politically, I think that was the right thing to do. But when we refused to support you in Iraq, I for one cheered. Your arrogance and blatant disregard for human life, including your own people, shows any sort of military operation with you involved is a major risk, regardless of location, motive, world event or political slant.

Heh. And I fail to see why a Japanese company should give a crap about your ignorant American bloated ideals.
