In the past week, Mythic has been adding quite a lot of people to WAR. Unfortunately I've yet to get one, but that's beside the point. My point is, could the guild beta being going so well that Mythic iseasing people into the next phase of beta?

i signed up on 06/15/2007, over a year and month ago, and still nothing
. Guess it will be upto my collectors edition sign up(from the day they released the pre-order cards) to try and get some earlier game play time.

Another possibility... Although it's one I'm not hoping for. Nevertheless, those who aren't in the beta at the moment can only speculate.
And no invite for me yet either, relying on my CE entry into Open Beta for any testing prior to release.
Unless, by some hand of god chance, I get accepted beforehand.

The beta (in my opinion) is going very well.
I got my invite about a week ago. Up until then I hadn't been following too closely (lost interest after waiting 9 months). Since starting up beta, I've ordered my CEs and will be playing for a long time to come.
Wish I could say more, but NDA will be gone soon and the truth will be out!

Sorry, that makes no sense. The beta is doing poorly, quick lets invite more people, that will make it better! WAR has already shown its testers 4x as much content as AoC's beta, and some older testers get to see even more with the focused testing that the new invites do not get to see.

It's where they try to cram as many people on a server as they can, and crash it a few times, so they can get data for server caps, to make the servers more stable and enjoyable for everyone.
Guess you haven't been in too many betas.
EDIT: This will also be done before Open Beta (some believe to be next month or so), because you don't want the customers who pre-ordered your Collector's Edition to cancel their pre-orders because the servers crashed 500 times.

My guess is your System specifications are the biggest thing holding people back. As soon as I updated my DXdiag file after upgrading to a 8800GTS (G92) card, 4 gigs of ram, and Windows Vista 64 bit I got in. Of course I got in right when Age of Conan started their early access play.

Guys all that beta status you talk about, which appereantly u can see on a website. Is it only for north americans?
I've of coursed signed up on the european page, but I can't see that "status" anywhere even though i'm registered.
Only thing I want to know about WAR is if PvP is really as slow as shown in the video's floating around... I had the feeling I could get a cup of coffee and come back to see nothing has really changed >.<
Maybe I've been playing l2 for too long... almost all the pvp i see seems so slow :<
