LF a Mech MMO

i was a big fan of mech warrior and Armored core on the PS2 anyone know of a Mech type mmo?

my dream MMO would probably be a MMO like Eve online with Mechs instead of Space ships.

    RF Online is probaly your closest bet. NC soft has a free mech game i believe

    You can be a robot looking guy in RF online, and the NCsoft game is Exteel, which I believe is more of an online dueling game than a real MMO, but I haven't tried it, so I could be wrong. Planetside is a MMOFPS that has some large mechs as well as smaller powered armor suits (also a ton of vehicles). I enjoyed that game for a long time, but quit before those mechs were introduced and have no idea what server population is like now.

    I would love to see a MMO based on Battletech with an entire persistant universe ... fight in a house army, or clan, merc corp, frige pirate, comstar, whatever. Something like EVE in space, with jumpships and dropships, and once you drop, it would be more like planetside as you fight to take the planet. Restrict the tech and you could have 2 games for the price of 1 with separate pre- and post-clan servers. Of course, I would be happy with any mecha game - Robotech, Heavy Gear, Gundam, Patlabor, Appleseed, a unique IP, whatever ... but nooo... we need more elves apparently.

    try age of armor. low end graphics. it was ok when i tried it (bout 4 months ago). i gave that up cause

    not all of the text was in english.

    To answer the Planetside population part they actually just went through a server merge of all 3 servers about a month or so ago. They now only have 1 server for the US and such and a Euro server the US server is perty jumping most the time i'd feel safe saying that a few of the battles around now get to be like they were back when they had it free till BR 6.
