Now...why? Why is Blizzard coming out with all of these contests and stupid stuff like that when Open Beta is right around the corner? If you have to pay to sign up for that, it is a waste of time. If you are fresh from the Stress Test, it is a waste of time. If you plan on playing in Open Beta, it is a waste of time.

Nothing but a waste of time. Oh well, Blizzard's game, so they do it the Blizzard way. I still think it is stupid, though.

Dont think so... I think its there to make sure people read it... You just hit submit and It should go thru. Least I hope so. Really wish these contests would send email confirmation so we know if our applications went thru ok.

    Thanks for the info.

I didn't sign up for the stress test because I thought you had to join fileplanet. Luckily a friend got it and wasn't able to play it. ::::18::

Maybe I'll get my own this time.::::28::

I get the same problem where it just takes me to the terms, page. I clicked back and then submit again a couple of times thinking my internet is F'd up, am i screwed? Seems like a bug to me, theyd most likely say that you've entered n stuff. N when i click on the link http://www.nzone.com/object/www.nvidia.com/nzone which is on the terms and conditions page the submit button sent me to, it says there is a page error, seems like theres a glitch in the system to me. God i really wanna get into one of these wow betas please help!

Ditto for me.  I tried, got to the Rules and Regulations page, hit Back, signed up again thinking I hit the wrong link instead of "submit", got the page again.  I finally wrote the webmaster of NVidia, explaining to them what was happening, hoping that they didn't disqualify me for multiple entries since I thought I screwed it up.  Poorly designed contest pages, I expect more from companies like NVidia and Blizzard, but hey, I'm not going to complain if I win.image

it goes through once you hit submit guys, it just puts the terms up there to make sure people see them so no one can claim they never saw them. as far as this being a waste of time, are you crazy?? i was optimistic that open beta would be during october but i'm thinking its not going to be until november with the stress test just finishing. they are just now increasing the lvl cap to 60 and haven't even gotten into most of what pets are supposed to be able to do. i was hoping for a christmas time release but now its starting to look like its going to be later than that, probably more along the lines of late jan. or feb. my friend was in the stress test so i got to play on his computer some when he wasn't playing and i had a blast. any chance i got to get the game for awhile would be more than welcome for me. (except paying those people on ebay or paying anyone for that matter)

Yep, signed up as well, and the last page is the agreement statement.  No need to go back and sign up again, not a very good format for a sign up, but it does make one wonder if they did it correctly.

Oct.1 is when they are suppose to let the lucky winners no, and yes OB is just around the corner, maybe sooner then we think, but who knows for sure.......Blizzard of course

Yep, it costs hundreds of dollars to sign up! It's just a big waste of time and its totally stupid! So, DON"T sign up! Don't be an enabler in Blizzards stupid contests! They must be shown the way out of their stupidity and that can only be accomplished if you DON"T sign up for the contest! If you feel the urge to sign up, Just keep saying to yourself "It's a stupid contest and I won't sign up". Repeat over & over until that urge subsides. image

LoStCaUz3 is absolutely right. It is a pointless and stupid contest. Why waste your time leveling another character when youll get to do it all over again in open beta, and then all over AGAIN in retail? Blizzard gains another point in the Lame-o-Meter every time they pull crap like this. AS IF they need the publicity.

Good job, Annekynn! Keep up the good fight, my man!

Ok, all of that have signed up! Go NOW and notify Blizzard that you DON'T want in this stupid, lame contest! Withdraw your name form consideration immediately! Remember! You are helping make Blizzard a better company by stopping their headlong plunge down "stupid contest" road!

If you haven't signed up for this contest, DON"T! For same reasons as above. You will be a better person for it! Blizzard might even send you a Christmas (insert your religous holiday here, such as, Hanukkah, Kwanza, etc) card. image
