I made a warlock. Very interesting class. I was a bit confused about him at first, but once I realised how to work the spell weaving and the chambers I'm really getting into him.
I was really excited when I got to my second chamber spell and realized that I get to carry two loaded ones. I'm assuming that it is the same when you get the next two as well??? Is that right. I think it would be awesome to have 4 loaded chambers floating around my head ready to meat out damage.
Any suggestions you guys can give me? I have been putting everything in Witchcraft so far. Is that good, or when do most people split and start putting points in the other specs?

Back when I played, it was common to see warlocks spec enough to get to th 3rd chamber then put the rest of the points into some other line so that they could get stronger spells. I don't remember the details in particular so I can't really say much more. I did at one point have a warlock myself and found him ok but I alwasy rather liked to play my runemaster, especially when he was Runecarving spec for the bolt bolt dd dead. I found the regular cast times on the warlock very slow and somewhat debilitating. Sure you might be able to load up spells in the chambers and unload them on people but then you're screwd. I didn't like the idea of being caught with my pants down once the chambers are spent.
No required quests! And if I decide I want to be an assassin-cartographer-dancer-pastry chef who lives only to stalk and kill interior decorators, then that's who I want to be, even if it takes me four years to max all the skills and everyone else thinks I'm freaking nuts. -Madimorga-
It has also been a long time since I have played any mid let alone the warlock, but he was dead on about the spec. info. chamber vs. casting times. I will say nothing beats the lock for finishing off a wounded enemy!!
Now that you can buy respecs my advice would be to go all out like you are doing right now and see if you like that style. It sounds like you are enjoying it so why mess with a good thing? Then of course if that doesn't fit you can always test out another spec. in the future.

The preparation period with the warlock annoyed me somewhat. I had to spend time standing around chambering various spells and being extremely vulnerable to stealthers and the like. I made up for the casting time by releasing the chambers in between the casts so that it seemed as if I was casting as fast as a regular caster. It is however really fun to find some poor sucker out and about alone and rooting him then dumping all your chambers and watching him hit the deck like a sack of potatoes, but it tends to get old fast, at least for me.
